One of my friends who I introduced to poker and showed BTP read my journal and wants to come with me. He basically feels like he's in the same situation, with uni being extremely dull and finding himself going to fewer and fewer classes. I was so proud of him today when he IM'd me from inside a class telling me he just stacked someone
We're currently talking about plans and where/when we'd go and all those sorts of details. He's just moved into an apartment where the lease runs out in August, and i've just bought a new computer and signed up to a gym - so it looks like it'll be a few months till we go. Which is okay with me. Now I have to decide if I should finish this current semester of uni, or quit now and spend the next few months playing poker and making a tonne of bank.
Yilh - you should go for it. Maybe we can meet up in timbuktu.
Poker wise, i've barely played the past week or so. I've been getting my computer up and running and I can finally say I THINK (and by think I mean BLOODY WELL HOPE) that everything is running fine now. I just need to email PT Pat for the 7th time in about 2 weeks for another key... March is about as close as i've ever come to the possibility of having a losing month playing poker. I'm sitting at about -$2,000 atm, but with 20 days left I can only believe i'll turn this into a positive. Still, it is a real shitty feeling to be down for the month being over 1/3 of the way through.
I've got my first session with my personal trainer at the gym tomorrow morning. I guess i'll walk in and say "make me as big as possible in the next 6 months", or something to that effect.
More updates to come on my trip.
Poker is silly.
It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.
Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.
