Ok well since im like 3 days into my NL career and tearin up the micro limits (yes, kill me now) i guess now i can fuck up this section with my 'posts.'...

I really dont understand everyones preeoccupation with shoving here. Youve got EPraisor, who could could have either a high PP, a set, maybe AQ, somethin like that. Im gonna have to assume that PFR or not, hes not firing into this type of field with a whiffed AK, or even JJ probly (maaaybe JJ possibly, but meh)

Then youve got you with a well disguised monster draw thats a favorite over everything besides a set, and then youve got like a billion mizors behind you who are drawing not-as-well as you are. A push has fold equity obviously, but do you really him folding? Do you really want mizors folding, or would you rather give them odds to chase thier kickers which make your straight or thier straights which make your flush? Your shove will scare off all the hands you dont mind having in there, and get called more often than not by hands you really dont want to have callin you. Which is pretty much exactly what happened.

Now i dno how id play this hand exactly cos like i said pot building in your spot is not exactly the easiest. Id probably flat call this and hope for an LP raise and then shove or something.

I understand the rationale behind shoving (i think), which is that you can be pretty sure your gettin your money in as a fave on the flop by shoving, rather than waitin to brickoff on the turn and be facing a pot sized bet and now have bad odds on your call, inspite of how good your draw is.

Still though, i would feel cheated winnin the $100 in that pot right there...in this spot, i think im lookin to win a monster...idno

BTW, how does the fact he'd have mucked KK to your shove mean its +EV? That is like, the one thing that actually makes this play good isnt it? Gettin your chips in as the money fave over a made hand who will incorrectly call this bet?

I dno, id really like to see an explanation of why shoving here is such a good idea.
