This is a $1/$2 NL live game. Buy in is $200 or 50% of the chip leader...which ever is higher. When I sat down, there was a $3500 stack and a $1000 stack. I bought for $500. The game is playing like a $2/$5 game. $20-$35 raises are standard and get multiple callers.
The monster stack is raising 75% of all his hands. Anywhere from $17-$30. He WILL NOT fold preflop. When he has a REALLY bad hand like 94, he says "Im gonna limp, nobody raise please". Ive taken this as my cue to raise him as Im 2 seats to his left. Hes a bad LAG but the deck is running over him and hes outplaying the weakies.
Example hand.....
He calls a $30 raise in the blind with
[4h]. Flop is
[7d][4c]. He calls $50 and another guy calls.
Turn is the
. He calls $140 (yes this is $1/$2)...other guy calls also.
River is the
. He leads $300
#1) He raises to $15. I reraise to $65 with
[Th]. He calls as expected.
Pot $135 ish. Flop
[9c][2d]. He checks, I bet $100 and he calls. He will call with any piece of that flop...and I mean ANY piece.
Pot $335. Turn
. He checks...... bet or check?
#2) Its 7 handed. I raise to $20 with
[Qs]. One caller and then the maniac reraises to $44 in the blind. I call as does the other guy. Again, yes, this is $1/$2.
Pot $135. Flop
[8h][6d]. He bets $50. I raise to $150. 1 fold and then the maniac calls.
Pot $335. Turn
. He checks...check or bet?
#3) Maniac says "Im gonna limp..nobody raise please". This is the first of a few times I raise him when he does this. I raise to $20 with
[9d]. He calls me of course.
Pot $45. Flop
[8h][4s]. He checks and I check behind.
Pot $45. Turn
. He leads $50 and says "Heres your chance to come over the top". he said that same thing 15 min ago and had nothing but a ten high flush draw but the guy didnt raise and they got to showdown. I raise to $150. Likey?
