So I flopped the nut straight, and feel like I didnt know how to play the hand from that point on (But at least I had a full stack this time )

I was a little worried about the flush draw but did not want to scare everyone away either. So I checked hoping someone would make a play at the pot. MP! was pretty agro so I took the oppportunity to check raise hoping to get it heads up with him.

Turn card double suits the board and I am not liking the fact that UTG+1 called my check raise so I decide to lead out and try to end the hand right now. However I do not overbet, I just bet enough to deny odds to chase flush....or so that was the plan.

Comments? Did I leave money on the table? Did I let them hang around to long on a draw heavy board? This sure isnt limit poker I can tell you that.

At these limits, it's tough to get a fold out of a CR that's not a CRAI. Your raise was also small enough that it gave the 2nd caller the right odds to draw to a flush. CR higher on the flop (2.25-2.50).

After the flop, nothing you can do. You have to bet enough to make it wrong for the FD to call. At this limit, a FD probably calls that bet, so it's unlikely either villain had one.

This board is very juicy because of all the big cards -- it hit somebody most of the time. I would usually lead the flop full pot here. If you're going to CR, you have to do it bigger -- I'd say $2.50 or even a bit more.

In my experience, it's not the amount of the check-raise that makes people fold, it's the simple fact that you check-raised. Any check-raise says "I have a big hand." So if you're going to do it, you might as well do it pretty big. (I'm actually not good at doing this: I usually CR too small and give odds to chasers.)

I'm very surprised you didn't get any calls on your turn bet. If anything you bet it too small. Anybody with a flush draw or two pair isn't going away. There are also a whole bunch of straight draws now with the 8 out there. Bet it strong, they don't care about odds at $25 NL. I would typically bet $5 here.

Lead at this flop. It had to hit someone, so lead. If nobody raises, just keep pounding them on the turn and river.
