I would probably fold preflop. KQo out of the blind vs a MP raise is not a good hand. If it was suited it'd be OK sometimes, but even then still marginal. I think fold > 3bet > call.
On the flop once he check-raises you, you're usually beat. You're probably going to be facing a decent bet on the turn and have to end up sticking your stack in if you want to get to showdown. I would fold preflop and fold to his flop checkraise.
Poker is silly.
