Battle of the blinds, what does the hero do?

1 fold, MP raises to $1, 2 folds, SB (poster) calls $0.90, Hero calls $0.75.

Flop: ($3) K, 3, 4 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2.8, MP folds, SB raises to $8, Hero calls $5.20.

Turn: ($19) 6 (2 players)
SB bets $17, Hero ???

I would probably fold preflop. KQo out of the blind vs a MP raise is not a good hand. If it was suited it'd be OK sometimes, but even then still marginal. I think fold > 3bet > call.

On the flop once he check-raises you, you're usually beat. You're probably going to be facing a decent bet on the turn and have to end up sticking your stack in if you want to get to showdown. I would fold preflop and fold to his flop checkraise.

Yeah what Roy said. And here's a tip: If you get check/raised on the flop, decide if you're going to call (or raise of course) a big bet on the turn. If not, might as well fold now because >90% of the time, the bet is coming.

Thanks for the comments, it was the one hand of the session I managed to get myself into a tricky spot, I was probably slightly tilted since I had been totally running over the 4 tables I was on.

I shoved the turn, he called down with AK. For the record the villain in question was 50/5/2.5, I would have expected a reraise from him with AK, such is life
