new to table so no reads. Sure i will have the best hand here a good amount of time but there are times i'm splitting and behind a set, but many times they have plenty of outs. How do you treat this? Fold, call or push? would you go for a cr?

Ok, when he doesn't raise my turn bet, I am pretty sure he doesn't have a boat and has some sort of draw, likely a flush draw. However, he might have QT but no other straight seems likely since he would have bet it at some point. Is there any reason to bet here being that he will likely either fold or check raise. Maybe he will check raise with a bluff but I don't have enough info on him but i would think he would bluff by betting out (which i would have called). So check or vb? if vb, how much and are you calling all in?

Hand 2: I think you made your value bet on the turn, and he may have gone into check-call mode with a small boat, or into fancy play mode with a monster. Just check behind. Besides, the hand where he pushed top two on a straight board shows that he's very aggressive with speculative hands, but doesn't really tell you much about how he plays made hands. You may just as well use this opportunity to get some info on that.

I'm with Oj on hand 2 but more with Xas on hand 1.

I think I'd call and continue to do so if he keeps betting passively, you don't fill up, and you think you have a decent shot at winning. That mini-raise looks pretty weak, but you're also pretty weak. Yes, he could be on bottom set, but also on draws to which you're barely ahead--and also maybe on A8, to which you're noticeably ahead. It's at least cheap to find out what's going to happen on the turn, unless now lalela suddenly comes to life.
