$1/$2 NL heads up. Its like 20 hands into the match. No big pots yet so basically no read. He bought for $140. My experience is that anyone who buys for less than full is passive and generally not tough to beat. I tend to avoid guys buying in full just because these other guys are so easy to beat. Most shorties buy for $40-$80 though so Im not sure about this guy.
I raise to $7 and he calls.
Pot $14. Flop
[Qd][4d]. I bet $11 and he calls.
Pot $35. Turn
. I bet $25 and he calls.
Pot $85. River
. He has $130 left.
1) How much would you bet that would allow you to fold to a shove? In other words, what would you value bet with something like
[Kd] that would still allow you to be sure that if he shoved, it wasnt a bluff? Or would you check / call?
2) What if you were pretty sure you had the best hand and hoped he might try to bluff raise and try to scare you off a one pair hand? How much would you bet that still gets some value if he just calls?
3) What do you think I have if I bet $55?
