Hope you guys are looking for some discussion in this section . Since I've been playing nothing but PLO the last few days you'll probably be hearing a lot from me.... I post a lot of hands when I'm learning a game.

Alright I realize I played this hand absoloutely horrible. I can recognize that . My question is how should I have played it? I'm guessing as played we fold the river.

This is also why I haven't ventured above $10 PLO yet

At 50PLO or higher, I would fold this to the flop bet. (Bottom set and top 2 pair are very similar value-wise.) To continue in the hand I would play it this way:

He had the straight on the flop and was shutting out your odds on a boat. Call the flop bet just in case you hit your Ace on the turn, or the board pairs up. If the board paired and he was STILL being majorly aggressive on the turn ... it's time to bail. (BTW I hadn't looked at the results when I posted that ... but yeah he was pretty straightforward about his holdings.)

EDIT: I wasn't even looking for flushes ... given that you had a *very* nice backdoor flush draw I would continue with this hand until the river, but yah you nailed it ... fold to that river bet.

You have a good made hand but it is obviously he has at the moment the nuts. But even with his nuts (AJxx) you are a 3:2 favorite with the flush, full house and quads draw you will win the pot, if he not holds the nut flush draw. You have 15 outs at the flop and 17 outs at the turn + 2 outs to split the pot.

If he has the nut flush redraw you are an 2:3 dog but it is more likley he did not have this redraw. You have a higher pot equity than villian and so reraise his bet at the flop and call the push people do at this level, even if they not holding a redraw.

If he holds a higher set it will be a good coin flip for you (52% for you if he holds Kings and 60% if he holds Queens).

As played call the turn and fold the river bet.
