Thanks Cat maybe that is what I need. I'm willing to try anything. OK TW and Monk. Not anything. Almost anything.

I'm reading it now... I'm not so keen on some of his PF hand selection (I guess I'm tighter than him, and he's supposed to be a rock), but a lot of what he says does hold water (ie... trap betting)... I think it's definitely a worthy read... Quick, too... I read about 70% of it on the plane on a trip to Vegas...

Since I first posted this I am up $600 in ring games and $300 in multi table tournaments.

I generally dont play MTTs, but invested $1 in one at UB an finished 3rd of 1700 players and won $218.75

I am re reading and finding more information that is helping the second time around.

Just finished reading the Holdem section of Stewarts and Ciaffone's book Pot Limt and No Limit Poker, and have to agree that is pretty good. I have really been searching for articles and stuff dealing with theories, concepts and principles for No Limit play. This book has really helped me to understnad some of the concepts and principles better. Looking forward to the third reading (that is when I really pick up most of the finer points).

I consider Harringtons book to be the best one I have read. Obviosuly it is limited to Tournament poker but I found it extrmely enlightening, it may not have caused any huge differences in my game but definetely helped improve some fundamentals and *tweak* a whole lot of things. I don't have any hard figfures since I no longer keep track of my SnG and MTT results but I definetely feel much more comfortable playing them now.

ToP and SS2 are also good books (Sklansky is a horrible writer though) of course.
