That lag in the other hand didn't bet into a paired board! I would always bet about 2/3 pot on this flop, and do the same on a blank turn. On the river I'd make a smaller bet, especially since the calling station can easily have an underfull or an accidental straight by now. He has to be a really big CS to pay you off with a T worse kicker...
This hand seems to be balancing between protecting your hand and pot control and I would typically take a line which tries to get it HU on the flop for the protection part and then make smaller bets (working on the assumption that my opponent has at most 9 outs) to keep the pot managable. Then you can make a small, say 1/2 pot river blocking/value bet and can fold to a raise.
