Playing PLO $50 6-max for 3days now (PLO for 1 whole week). Played very well yesterday in 2 separate 3-hour sessions. But, both sessions end in huge bad beats that felt me for 2 or 3 buy-ins. I don't quit after bad beats, but actually stopped both sessions due to time.
Session #1 - I played well and got lucky enough to hit flops against absolute morons that paid big. Stack eventually hit $250, but a couple of bad bully-bluffs took me down to $180 where I started to get back in line.
Hand:
Against player with no understanding of the game or how many outs he has (this is the Suckee featured in my 'Hilarious!' post), I hit a huge draw in a raised pot. OOP I pot the flop and he repots, I call. Turn is my flush card with no board pair, I CR All-in -- the Raise is $100 and he calls! River pairs the board, and I'm felted with a -$111 for the session.
Session #2 - Again I'm cruising, building a stack up to $120 when I flop trip Aces in a raised pot with Flop AK7. Hoping he has KK I bet 1/2 pot and he raises, I call. Maybe should push here, but don't want to scare him. Turn pairs the 7. We get all in, he has me covered. River brings the case K. This one-outer left me -$37 for the Session.
If these happen early in the Session, I rebuy and build again, but after 3hrs of grinding I just walk away. I assume this is fine, because in Session #1 the board doesn't pair 75% of the time and I double to 360, and in Session #2 case king doesn't hit 95% and I double to $240. So, after thinking about it, I was able to think happy thoughts and know that I am doing well, especially since I didn't build my stacks by hitting one-outers.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
