AQo against loose 3-bettor (400NL 6-max)

I seem to have trouble dealing with the hyper-aggro types. Villain in this hand is like 24/20 with 7 flop agg and 6.5 turn agg. He shuts down on the river when called. He plays up to 2000NL that I know of, but for some reason slums it at 400NL quite often. He plays back at me with no mercy and 3-bets more often than he has a hand. I've seen him 3-bet JTo before.

So anyway, its 4 handed and I raise [Ac][Qh] to $15 from the button. Villain reraises to $50 from the BB. I call. Villain has $468, I cover. I'm pretty sure villain thinks I am pretty solid, if anything a bit weak-tight as he has folded me out a number of times.

Pot $100. Flop [4h][5c][8c]

Villain CBs (as he always does) $80. I think, realize he can't have the nut flush draw and is unlikely to have a pair than can call, and shove.

Is this a good defense against his tendencies...or should I wait for a better spot where I have a real draw/made hand? Do you see this as a necessary play to use on occasion against these types? Or is this a standard "move" (on occasion) given the dynamics of the situation?

The problem is that we don't know the dynamics of the situation. His stats 24/20 doesn't tell us how often he 3-bets. Anyway I'll give it a try, if you disagree with an assumption I am ready to reconsider.

IMO his 3betting range from BB vs Buttons at his wildest would look like: {88+, AJ+}. I also expect that he'll CB with most of his range, probably checking AJ. The question is how often he'll call you? IMO he'll call you with all pairs 88+ and would fold AK, AQ. Here is why: he plays below his normal stakes and would have a tendency to call down a bit too light, flop texture is not a good one, i.e. with a flush draw, and he could talk himself into calling putting you on a draw. With these assumptions your shove is too thin.

IMO a better range to shove in this spot would be {JJ+, AK}

P.S. BTW the fact that you have [Ac] is not very relevant IMO, he doesn't have many flush draws in his range.

I dont like it. Id rather just change tables, or avoid him as much as possible. No need to attack him without a hand.

Getting into pissing contests like this is not a good idea....in many many ways....trust me Ive done it too many times.

auto muck, move table - your not comfortable dealing with him, find another game plenty out there! Try refining your table selection, finding the odd half decent lag to "practise" strategies against. Before tackling someone who looks like is above ya skills set. I do this often cause can't deal with this sort of player consistantly

Hate hypo agg lags, especially the ones who know the're beat!

p.s out of interest what site is this PP? seen one guy who plays from $..50 /$ 1 all the way up to $10/$20 , and is a excellent lag and pretty much runs over tables at all the levels.

i think it's fine. you have to fight these lags with fire sometimes to let them know you're not a pushover. You're representing a pretty decent hand.
