just a quick update...
I am currently at $350 at Pacific Poker even though I ran into AA with AK with K on flop against a normally fishy player, had lower flush against so-so player and got ass kicked by a back door flush suckout.. all that I forget as soon as I get AA and push from any position PF and get a full stack caller with AT or 99 or Q7... LOL, I am not even playing AA anymore at Pacific..I just push preflop and 7-10 times I will get a caller which is fine by me, because if I raise to .70 I will get 4 callers, lol...

so, yea, my roll has reached $500 and I still have some playing to do at Pacific.. Strangely, I am still bothered by not having the use of PT PAHUD at pacific, and I kind of feel that I will leave this site as soon as I get 25 more CompPoints (their playing points) so that I can withdraw the full amount... that's pretty stupid if I find the competition so bad here, so I hope that in the next 2-3 days I'll get closer to $400 mark at Pacific and by then I should be satisfied enough to stay there until I hit pure $500 ... wow.. that's a lot of work at NL10 ..$150 more and I have made $100 from playing and $50 from bonus so far..
meh.. I'll just stick there until the bonus is cleared and then I'll decide..

I wish I could play pacific.

Bodog is just about the loosest US site there is, so I agree, it's not a bad substitute for Pacific.

The reason Pacific is so loose is because their marketing machine is like no other. They advertise absolutely everywhere, but what they advertise more is their online casino. So, you get blackjack and roulette players, seeing the adverts for poker when they're playing online and think "I could do that" and then sign up for the poker site and think K9 sooooted is a monster preflop.

I should know, that's how I got into poker. Then I read, and read and now I take their money rather than donate it to others.

I havent played as much as I was a couple of months back, as I had some other shit to do like moving house and stuff, but I left Pacific for a while, played Bodog, Stars, became a bit more selective with my plays, came back to Pacific and my BR went from around $300 to $1200 in around 3 weeks. I had a run of very hot cards but it's mainly due to the donks and fish calling all the way with the second best hand.

I hate the rake @ Pacific, the software sucks but I don't play online poker for pretty colours and nice lobby layouts.

I played a few sessions @ $200 NL the other week, just to see what the players are like up there. My conclusion is they are just as bad @ $200NL as they are @ $25NL, which is where I currently play. Someone like KennyG would absolutely murder the $200NL there, you've never seen anything like it!

I switched to NL25 6max completely 3 days ago and hopefully won't have to look back on NL10 ever again... I am 2-tabling currently (until my new computer arrives) and I think I might as well continue only 2tabling or maybe add additional table because I feel I am more "in the game" and don't rely on PT-PAHUD for support (since I dont have handgrabber yet) but on my own observations and a lot of notes that I write..
my notes are not very organized but I think they help me.. basically, I put in there what villain called me with and how much did he pay for what on particular occasion as well as what his tendencies are (i.e. FD chase, bluff, solid, CS, TAG bad, TAG good, etc..).. I think it currently helps..

I am very happy with how things are going at Pacific for me and thrilled how many idiots play there who are willing to stack off with ATo on T high flop..

To be honest... the thing I like the most is that I don't get sucked out like I used to anymore.. I mean, a few of them happen now and again but they don't hurt me as much now because I make up for it almost every time and quite quickly so it's not a bother anymore or at least for the time being.. Also, I believe my game improved somewhat, at least improved to the point to play against these players, so that also makes me feel better..

To set my short-term online NL holdem goal now:

I plan to move to NL50 when I reach $1250 at Pacific which means that I need to make another $750 which is more than double of what I have now... I figure that if I play like I play now and put in the hours that I am putting in now (or even pump them more since I am not playing THAT much) I might get there in a month or so... If I manage to create and keep a winrate of 1 stack per day on average, I will be there in 30 days.... i need your input.. achievable?

I am not getting over-confident, trust me... it's just that the deck is not so cold anymore and I didn't get 2outed from turn to river more than 2-3 times, which I can handle without bursting into flames..

I am not actually saying that my game improved outside of Pacific.. I am talking pacific only since I know that I couldn't play at Party the way I play at Pacific, and win some...

and yes... this is just happiness talking from me now, and I realize that I have to keep my feet on the ground and not get over-confident.. thanks for the reminder!..

I got my tickets for the Croatia-Russia euro2008 qualifier game on Wednesday... it's cool to have a father who has friends in highest positions at Croatian Football Association.. I got 2 tickets and will get my friend Ivan to come with me.. It is just appropriate since it's also his birthday on Wednesday... Hopefully we'll have a good time, Croatia will win or draw the game (I am half Russian so I want Russia to qualify also) and we'll drink a lot of beer afterwards...

My poker is doing rather well... I am currently at $695 at pacific... I changed my game a bit.. I don't open limp more then 2% of the hands and that's 22,33 that I play from SB or BB.. I don't call raises other than with PP or AK and some of those (most actually) I 3bet PF frequently.. I also raise a lot of hands that would normally be folded and I AM SURE that this makes me money on my bigger/lower hands that hit flop hard.. I feel like people really don't know where they stand with me when I play with them and are kind of scared.. there are always players there that will pick up on that and will 3bet me or push my raises, but it's actually something I want since they get irritated by my plays (constant raising) and make mistakes... so, anyhow.. it works now and while it works, I will use it... btw. my friggin laptop crashed today and I just got AA OTB and didn't have the time to pinch... damn this RAM in my laptop (i didnt get the new computer yet and question is when I will)... so, you see, it's actually possible to fold AA pre flop...
I have no idea what my real stats on pacific are since I am not using PT nor HH grabber so I have no real way of knowing... only thing that Jossnaz told me was that I raise about 20% hands PF and that was what I really mostly cared about.. it was a small sample also (130 hands I think) but makes me feel gut that people are scared.... maybe I hit a rush period and although it's possible I like to think that this is my normal period... not rush...

I would appreciate JimmyJet telling me some of my "new" stats at pacific as I think he has this overview... thanks mate...

I just got thrashed big time... I lost $125 in less then 2 hours... Most of it if not all at one table full of floaters and (today) luckbags.. I might have played 2 fancy, but didn't get the needed fortuna on my side either..

[Th] OTB... guy before me raises (he is solid, but nothing special) to $1.. I RR to $3, he is the only caller.. flop [9s][4h]... he checks.. I bet $6, he raises to $14, I push thinking I am a small favorite to anything other than the set, right? .. well, he has [4d] for his set, and I don't get a heart...

immediately next hand... [Kh] and I open push AI.. got a call from [Td] and [A] marks the flop...

10 hands later... [Ac] .. I raise to $2 from UTG... got 2 callers and harmless flop.. pot it.. call call.. turn [4] and I lose a stack with another set of [4]'s...

there were few more thingies like this one but I can't remember them right now... All I know is that I lost 5-6 buyins and that I am now on a small tilt... I am rather calm actually but I don't think I'll play again today until evening.. I need a rest..
