Just sat down at the table, no reads.

1. UTG limps (50/0 over 12 hands), folds to me I raise [5d] to $5 on the button, BB calls and limper folds.
2. Flop [2c][9h], pot $11 BB checks I bet $9 and and BB calls.
3. Turn , pot $29 BB checks I bet $22 and BB calls.
4. River , pot $73 BB checks and I'm mallin' for $64 more.

This good/meh/spew? What can BB have that he's calling with here?

Yeah this was probably pretty stupid of me, I just read like 10 pages on NL $400-$1000 hand advice at 2+2 and caught fps I think.

I've had 2 fail in the past two days for my entire stack...I've also had some work...the 2 that failed were actually huge errors on the villians' parts because against my RANGE, they're 90/10 dogs drawing to 2 outs so I'm kinda happy they picked me off because I play my overpairs/sets the exact same way I play my whiffed AQ.

But I know my players, and I only attempt these plays against people I think can fold...but obviously I was wrong and they get NICE updated notes (one was "Value bet his ass" )

I'll throw in some more words about FPS.

Last night, playing 4-handed, I was up against a guy who, two hands in a row, took pots away from me. I raised preflop, he called. I bet the flop, he called. One turn I check/folded once because I had zip, the other I bet and he minimum raised and I folded. The next pot we were in together, I checkraised him all-in on the turn with a missed AJ and he folded, and I got all my money back and more.

I got so pleased with myself that I proceeded to donk off more than a full stack at my other two tables, playing as if I could make anybody fold with big bets, properly timed. I got called down by one guy who had A8 on an 86653 3-flush board and by a different guy who had Q9 on a QJ3T3 board.

Oh, right, most players at $100 NL and below are calling stations. I quit in disgust.

I actually have a huge amount of success with my second and even triple barrels, I just don't double barrel too much and a triple barrel is really rare (like betting a draw on flop and turn then river coming offsuit ace and betting the scare card). This makes me think I'm not double/tripple barreling enough.

Still, what do you think he calls with here and would this be ok if I had the ?

And FTW I would usually check the river with AA here as I really don't think there's a lot of hands that will call a shove, hence I shoved myself. Is that a mistake?
