Villian is SUPPOSEDLY a higher stakes player, but he's been playing 2/4 regularly lately. So, he's either running shit higher, or who knows. He has a full stack, I cover.

[Ks] UTG and I limp going for a LRR, villian in SB raises to 18, and I flat call. I don't reraise since that 100% defines my hand to this type of player, and I think I can use his lack of knowledge of MY game, and my knowledge of HIS game against him here.

Flop [Jh][8s], he leads 32 into 40, I just call. Right now only AA/QQ/JJ beat me (he doens't EVER have QJ here), AK/AQ/AJ are possible (AJ less likely).

Turn , he leads 74 into 104, I make it 168 (I did this to scare off AA if he is worried about QJ/9T or a set)...maybe I should've just made it 230ish.

He pushes...it's 160 into a huge pot, I obv call.

Thoughts?

What do you think he puts you on limp/calling from UTG? Probably a baby pair, maybe a small connector. Not QJ or T9 or whatever you think you're repping when you min-raise him on the turn. Almost half his stack is in the pot already when he shoves, and he has to realize his fold equity is zilch. He's got AQ or better, but getting 3:1 on the end you can't fold.

I think you have to raise that flop. I also think that if you don't raise the flop you should just call down turn and river if he keeps firing, because AQ is the only hand that can call a raise and doesn't have you crushed.

Well there's no way on hell you have a set after limping UTG. I imagine he'd weight your range HEAVILY to low pocket pairs. With QJ you'd probably just fold and the same goes for T9, and if not fold, you'd raise more often than not.

This makes no sense to me. Youre sure that he would be scared with AA but he still pushes and you think KK has him beat?

You cant beat AA and you think he would fold it so how can you beat any hand that he would push with?

Im not saying your turn line is bad, but how can you call his push based on the rest of your logic? Based on your read, it seems to me that he will have QQ / JJ most of the time.

This was a complicated way of playing the hand that might be +EV. Or not. I think vs. this kind of player i wouldve just check raise the flop (given the line you took preflop) and i think i might fold to a push. On that scenario i thinkhis pushin range is [AA-QQ-JJ-AQ] and it crushes you.
