Sklansky bucks
I've hit some good cards my last two sessions. I've had 4 or 5 sets. The problem is they seem to lose constantly and make me lose big pots. Once this turns around I'm bound to have some big sessions.
Dealt
[Td] in the SB.
EP station limps, LP aggressor makes it $20. I call as does the limper.
FLOP$60
[7h][6c]
I lead for $40. EP calls. Aggressive preflop raiser makes it $140. I push my stack which is around $500. EP folds, LP calls.
TURN/RIVER $1100
[7h][6c]
I flip over my full house and LP slow rolls his pocket aces.
I was delighted I played the hand so perfectly. The opponent kept trying to taunt me by winking and saying stupid shit after the bad beat but I didn't care. I stayed in good spirits.
Another hand with the same player:
He raises to $30 from LP. I make it $90 with
[Ks]. He thinks forever and calls.
FLOP$180
[3d][2h]
I bet $120. He calls. At this point I put him on a delayed bluff. I've watched him play for a while now and I had a good read based on his body position and hand movements.
TURN$ 420
[3d][2h]
I bet $240. He instacalls and now I know I'm in trouble. Had he raised allin for his last $300 I would have been inclined to call based on my read. But his call is troubling. He must have hit a hand.
RIVER$ $900
[3d][2h]
I check. He checks after about 3 minutes of deliberating (He was trying to decide if he should take the free showdown or bluff.) I show my AK and he does his victory dance with
[7s]. Again he tried to taunt and again I didn't give a fuck. I was happy with how I played and my read was stellar. I got in $90 preflop with AK vs Ax, and squarely put him on a delayed bluff on the flop when he was drawing to 3 cards.

Couple of hands with a maniac:
Couple of limpers. I limp in the SB with
[Qh]. BB Maniac makes it $60. Loose regular calls in EP with about $500 in front. Maniac has about $1k I have him covered. Back to me I raise $300 and take down $140 uncontested.
I call a $15 raise with
[9s] in the CO. Button maniac also comes along.
FLOP$45
[2s][6c]
Checks around.
TURN$45
[2s][6c]
Checked around
RIVER$45
[2s][6c]
PFR raiser checks again. I check hoping my ace high is good. Button bets $75. I observed his motion on the bet and was convinced of a bluff. PFR folds and I call.
Manaic says a pair of deuces. I say, "Whats your kicker?" I flip over my ace high and the dealer looks at me like I'm a retard. Maniac mucks. heh. Interestingly, the maniac completely shut down after those hands. He would keep reaching for chips and then force himself to check or fold when I was in the pot. I had instilled fear.
Until this hand anyway....
LP limper. I raise
[8d] from the SB. BB maniac calls.
FLOP$45
[3d][6s]
I bet $30. He calls.
TURN $105
[3d][6s]
My set! I bet $50 as kind of a weak lead hoping he'll raise. He just calls.
RIVER $205
[3d][6s]
I bet $100. He raises to $400 straight. I obviously call and he tables
[7h] for the flopped nuts. Nice cold deck.

I'm becoming quite the practiced observer of human behavior. Live poker has really helped my ability to read people in all things, not just poker. I'm picking up minute details I never payed attention to before. I think I could detect lies fairly easily now and I'm looking forward to putting it all to good use. Not to mention it will help my acting become more believable.
