Of my online poker career was today. I know I said that last month, but I thought I would give it one more shot. I had some eCash left over at Bodog that I couldnt cash out but could play with so I played some $100NL and the players were bad. I made a deposit so I could have enough to play for real. Of course all hell broke loose.

When I was married to my 1st wife, we used to break up and get back together all the time. Actually we did this before we even got married. I shouldve known enough back then to just give up and leave her and never look back but I always got back together with her. Im in the same situation now with online poker. I wont make the same mistake again. Ive only been playing 3 days and want to quit again so this time I will quit and I will never play online again. TRUST ME! Its not gonna happen.

I havent had fun playing poker for 4 months. I had a good month in Jan but after going something like 4 years with only 1 losing month, Ive now lost 3 of the last 4 months and the other one was barely a winning month.

Maybe I suck, maybe Im running bad. I dont know and I dont care. 4 months is long enough to make whatever adjustments are needed for the online games of today and for whatever reason, I cant win more than 2-3 PTTBBs anymore and thats not worth my time.

In the past 12000 hands, Im losing money with AA. Maybe Im misplaying it right? Well, in that time Ive had it 52 times. Ive been ALL IN PREFLOP 7 times and lost 6 of them.

Heres some hands from today.

#1) $100 NL...UTG limps, I raise to $6 with AA. It gets back to him and he reraises to $18. FU..Im all in for $132. he calls with QQ and flops a Q.

#2) I limp 55...Couple limpers than a $4 raise. I call after another caller.

Flop 653 with flush draw. I check, he bets $12. FU.....Iamm all in for $125. he calls with AA and runner runners a flush.

#3) $200 NL.....I call a $7 raise with 88. BB also calls.
Pot $21. Flop T73. BB leads $5. Preflop raiser folds. I think I have the best hand and call.
Pot $31. Turn 8. he bets $10. I make it $30 and he calls.
Pot $91. River is a blank. He leads $15 with another $30 behind. I shove. He has J9.

#4) Flush under flush
#5) Set under set
#6) I get one outted with Q3 vs 33 on this board.......A26Q3.
#7) $300 NL. Guy raises $15. I call with AK. BB goes all in for $100. Preflop raiser folds so I call.

He has KQ and flops a Q

#8) $300 NL..UTG raises $11. he has a total of $100. I have AK and reraise to $100. he calls with TT and wins.

#9 ) I raise QQ and get a caller. Flop JJT. I dotn like it but bet it. He calls.
Turn 9. I check / call. River 2. I check/call....He has 99.


Trust me , there are more. I played for 5 hours trying to clear the bonus after I already decided that I was done for good. in that 5 hours, I never once got a stack over 130BBs. It was the most amazing thing Ive ever seen. I missed every flop. I got outdrawn every time I hit a flop.

I lost a total of only 3 buy ins today which is hard to believe considering what I just experienced and with never once winning a big pot.

I know I know, these are bad beats. It happens to everyone. I DONT CARE anymore!

Ive grown to hate online poker and Im never playing it again. It was fun while it lasted but its over for me. I hope the rest of you enjoy it for years to come. Good luck.

Unless you're xaston, making more than 3 ptbbs probably isnt gonna happen right now....I know if it wasnt worth my time to play poker it would be an easy decision to quit.

Any way, if I understand it correctly...

1. You don't need the money due to having a good job and already having made considerable bank on the online poker boom

2. You don't enjoy it

Well I sure as shit wouldn't be doing anything I didn't enjoy if I didn't need the money I was getting from it. So why the hell have it taken you so long to quit for real (assuming this is that)? You slow or something? Go do something you enjoy instead of wasting your time... you're old ffs, you don't have an unlimited amount of time like Xaston and the other embryos.

Two years ago, when facing a losing streak like this one , it was easy to find a whale or an extreme calling station and recovering at least part of it. Today, a losing streak is a much more serious issue.

I'm also having a bad time at tables that I know I can beat. Whenever I'm near to quit I remember that I will be donating money to a 2+2er or a cardrunner if I do so and they wont have my money that easy.

Besides that, what you going to do on your free time at home when kids and wife are already sleeping ?
