I would just import them as a text file and make the minor changes you need from within PT autorate menu
the priority numbers simply indicate the order of checking - if rules would otherwise clash you should use these..

the rock category should be priority 1 or 2 (just before or after Xtra Loose)

I take it that once you imported the new rules the first thing you did was ran them for your existing DB?

Yes, i ran it in my existing database and it wouldnt run.
