Wow live poker is awesome. I played a 1/2 dealers choice cash game. Bought in for $200 and cashed out about $1,450. Sweet.
Then myself, Matt and Nauv played the most degenerative form of poker (if you can call it that) there is.
We began by simply dealing out hands and playing $20 a hand. Standard gambling right? Well we did this for like an hour, the swings were sick. We then decided to add prop bets and ding cards to the equation, where each of us chose two cards and if they came on the flop we got $20 each. If both cards came we got $50. If two people's cards came and not the other person, they would get $40 each. If you got one on the river it was worth $50. THEN we decide this is not enough, so if anybody shows down a full house or better they get $50 from the other two.
I start out down about $300, swing back to being up $450 or so, swing again to being down $1k and finally end up down $500 or there abouts. Probably the most fun I've had playing poker in such a long time. We literally had piles of cash on the table and were throwing notes at each other at the end of each hand. This was exactly what I needed after this past week.
Poker is silly.
It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.
Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.
