Flop the Nuts.... Iceman Style!
It's been a pretty crazy weekend. My sleeping schedule is completely whack again. I'm getting in good hours at the table and the gym though. I'm looking forward to my days off after the insane tables I've been on.
I met Ice and Trod. Both are cool guys and good poker players. It's obvious to me Ice is yearning to move to Vegas.
Trod smilies all the time, which I can understand, since his finance is hot. hehe.
Anyway, the last 3 sessions I've had were nutso. Each session started with me being down $1k or more. My session at the Wynn had a couple of drunk pros throwing money around as if it were a $25 NL game. My session at MGM was amazing because it was so incredibly weak/passive/loose. It may have been the most lucrative game I've ever played in. Then I go to the Venetian with MVP last night, only to find another incredible table.
Some highlights:
I limp UTG with
[Ts]. The entire table limps. Sweet.
FLOP$45
[Kc][Qh]
Wow. I weak-lead $20 with the nuts. UTG+1 calls as does UTG+2.
TURN$85
[Kc][Qh]
I lead $50. UTG+1 raises to $150. UTG+2 pushes for $700. I call covering everyone. Goes to UTG+1 who has like $200 left. He talks himself into a call with A9 lollllllll.
We all flip our cards over. I have the nuts obv. UTG+1 A9 top and bottom. UTG+2 AK top two.
RIVER $1800
[Kc][Qh]
Ouch!
------------
Bunch of limpers. I raise to $35 with
[Qs] from the BB. Folds to 3rd limpers who raises to $140 with $250 left. I think he's weak and his play makes no sense. I push. He calls with
[5h] flops a set on a rainbow board and I'm drawing dead. This one pissed me off a lot because it was so nonsensical.
---------------
I limp UTG with
[Jh]. Ton of limpers.
FLOP $35
[Jh][4s]
Checks to UTG+1 who bets $100. I call.
TURN $235
[Jh][4s]
I check. He bets $100 again. I push for another $400 or so. He calls with A8 drawing dead.
----------------------------------
This is hilarious
Guy that just lost a huge pot with pocket Queens makes it $25. At least 6 callers and I call with
[4s] in the SB.
FLOP$175
[5h][6c]
I had to recheck my cards like 3 times. I checked. Somehow it checked around to the button who bet $25 with 99 in a $200 pot. lol. I call. PFR calls.
TURN$225
[5h][6c]
hehehehehe. perfect card. I check. PFR bets $50. Button folds after a long time. I raise to $200 straight. PFR pushes for $700 total with his mighty
[Th]. River doesn't matter and I win a very nice pot. (BTW, this was the guy who limp reraised with 55 and called my allin preflop. It made it even more rewarding)
------------
I call a small raise from the SB with
[9s]
FLOP$100
[9h][6s]
I check/call the PFR $75 bet.
TURN$250
[9h][6s]
I check. PFR bets $150. I check raise and make it $200 more. She insta calls with QJo. (no hand, gutshot draw.)
RIVER$950
[9h][6s]
ouch.
----------
Bunch of limpers to me in the BB. The SB limps with QQ which is comical. Anyway. I raise to $30 with two red kings and get two callers.
FLOP$100
[8h][9d]
SB checks. I bet $70. Button station calls. SB check raises allin for another $100 to me. I raise to $300 total to get the draw out. It works. I flip over my kings.
TURN$ big pot
[8h][9d]
RIVER$ big pot
I say to the dealer.... "a king would be nice."
[8h][9d]
ouch. The guy flips over his QQ and celebrates a little too much.
---------------------
I call a small raise with
[5d] on the button.
FLOP$90
[4d][3h]
PFR bets $15. I'm the only caller. I'm getting good implied odds and have a nice backdoor draw.
TURN$120
[4d][3h]
Chaching! Straight with the nut flush redraw. He bets $100?!?!?! I "smooth call."
RIVER$320
[4d][3h]
Shite. A full house now beats me. Wait..... straight flush!!! He pushes for his last $250. I call. He said he had Jacks full but then later admitted to tripping the 3.
----------------
A big un
Aggressive guy I hit the straight flush on makes it $25. Station calls. I call on the button with
[2d] hoping for a big hand or bluffing opportunity.
FLOP$125
[6h][2h]
PFR bets $65. Woman station calls. They don't look strong to me. I pop to $200. Button looks pissed and folds finally. PFR folds finally. The woman calls. I know I'm dead cuz shes a station and she had a made hand. Something about her call made me realize she was NOT drawing.
With all my heart I yearn for a Jack. My whole body ached for that damn jack.
TURN$585
[6h][2h]
YES!!!! She checks. I bet $200. She pushes for $750 total. I call the $500 to me and win. She says she had T6 and flopped top two. I believe her.
-----------------
I limp UTG
[4d]. Ton of limpers.
FLOP$35
[4d][5h]
SB leads for $60. I opt to smooth call and hope one of the aggressive players raise. They don't. Everyone folds. BTW, the SB is the guy who earlier limped with QQ in the SB.
TURN$155
[4d][5h]
He leads for $60 again. He only has like $250 left so I decide to let him bet the river for me.
RIVER $295
[4d][5h]
Mofo. He bets $60 again. I fold my 44 face up and he shows JJ. Go me.
----------------
FPS works
At a tough Wynn game before I was moved to the crazy table.
I have
[8h] in the BB.
FLOP$25
[6h][Kd]
Checked to the button who bets $20. Button is a pro and a good player. I raise to $60. He calls.
TURN$145
[6h][Kd]
Flush. I check, he checks.
RIVER$145
[6h][Kd]
I check again. He bets $75. I check raise to $300. He says well-played, calls, and mucks.
--------------------
Dealt
[2c] in the BB.
FLOP$30
[Qc][6c]
I lead $15 with the flopped flush. BB makes it $40. Completely drunk guys pushes for like $700. I end up calling and he shows
[5c] and annihilates me.
---------------------
As I said, the games have been insane! These aren't all the crazy hands I've had either. There's too many to post. I've run into a couple of bad beats as you can see and it looks like my weekend will end up being a small win. Good thing I won a ton on Thursday.
