I can't remember folding KK pre-flop before, but is this a standard fold this deep?

Hero has ~220$, villian covers

Villian has been actively and is laggy, 26/17/2.5, fairly wide 3 betting range in the big pots that go to showdown he has had the goods, he has around 500 in chips.

In the CO with

A short stack in EP makes it 4$, Villian makes it 14 to go, Hero pops it to 40, EP shorty folds, Villian comes over the top AI,....who folds this here? How often is this anything other than AA?

I'll be interested to hear the posts from the more experienced, but his stats aren't laggy in my eyes at 26/17. There's a good chance he's full of shit but even Ax against your stack would have you reaching for a beer or a hammer to throw at the telly. Not an easy lay down that most will suggest if u really think he's using his stack... fuck it... call him

you're 200bb deep. you 4-bet cold and he still shoved. 26/17 is on the looser side of competent but those can easily be the stats of a very good player.

good players don't try to push other players off of AK, KK, or QQ. he's gotta put you on those once you 4-bet.

Actually I was the villian in this hand with AA, I think that I would have folded KK this deep but I guess it is alot closer than I actually think.

I may have given the "hero" in this hand too much credit for actually paying attention, and at the time my read on the "hero" in this hand was that he was a half-way decent player.

I really don't think I would ever 5-bet this deep without AA.
