The funny thing is that you guys kept telling me not to play at MGM and then you play there all night with obviously some of the worst players in history. After seeing those hands you posted, I think its worth the 10 minute walk from the parking garage.

I don't know why I ever leave the Wynn. My win rate there is phenomenal, but I keep trying to convince myself that the games are no good. Well I guess technically the games aren't "good." It's so odd to be winning at such a high clip at a weak-tight chopping fest. (As one of the Wynn regulars called it yesterday.)

Anyway, my last few sessions have been nothing spectacular. I've been card dead and winning/losing very small amounts. I was happy with that since I was around my monthly goal and theres only so much you can do with shitty cards.

Then I decided to play at the Venetian last night. Somehow I was break even after a bevy of monster against monsters. Everytime I would flop a hand, I was second best.

I raise KK UTG+1. Tight UTG limped and now calls.

Apparently the SB and BB are friends. The SB gives me shit about taking 30 seconds to call. I tell him my reasoning which is pretty sound. I'm deliberate in my actions at the table so I don't make any more mistakes. In fact, unless I have the mortal nuts I never snap call. I've done it before and it's cost me money because I didn't think the whole hand through.

This leads to a hand an hour or two later.....

I think about it for a bit. He obviously pretty weak and my instincts say I'm good. I put him squarely on AK and call. He doesn't flip over his cards like a dumbass so I finally just flip up my pair. He mucks saying, "That's a worse call than you made a few hours ago against me. That's just terrible. You're a terrible player etc etc etc etc." The guy next to me, "Nice read and big balls, sir." hahaha. Also I never made another big call against him so I don't know what the hell he's talking about. I said as much but he was convinced I made another bad call on him. lol. That hand then leads to this retarded cold-deck

Obviously he wanted my cock. Anyway, I make it $200. He pushes for $600 more. I totally know I'm fucked. I know he's got QQ. But all I can think of is that damn hand I posted early this month, where I folded the low boat and the guy had nothing in the what would have been $8k pot.

Lets think about this though. He plays pretty standard which means QJ is not in his range. If he had AJ he would check the flop. He's that type of basic player. Except in this hand, he bet the flop, then checked the turn. The only conclusion you can draw is either he's on a total bluff or he has QQ. However, his talk is trying to invoke me to put more money in the pot. He has to have QQ.

But like I said. That other hand was still in my mind. I called. He sat there forever like last time, not showing his cards. So fine, I flip over my 77 low boat. He looks at me with anger and says, "How long you've been in Vegas." I said, "A lil bit." And he flips over his QQ on the total slowroll.

I said, " Way to slowroll. Nice ethics." Something like that. I think I pissed him off by not going on an angry tirade. I have no need to engage in all this macho bullshit. I continued to play, still chatting it up with the other players at the table. I didn't tilt.

MVP came a little later and I decided to head out. The game wasn't all that great and I already played for over 6 hours. I lost about a thousand. Considering the hands I got and the cold decks I received I think it went pretty well. I just wish I had followed my instincts and folded that boat. Apparently that $8k pot at 5/10 is going to haunt me for a while.
