So, villain in this hand is like 10/1/0.5 100 hands. I flop bottom set, and am immediately wary when he calls my bet. The possible hands he would call with on the flop I guess are AJ (maybe), QQ+ and 88/JJ. Does it make sense to raise this guy oop preflop when his limping range is like AJ+ and pocket pairs?

i don't think a PF raise acomplishes anything here because you have a pretty mediocre hand OOP, on the flop i bet maybe a little bit more (say 1.5) and on the turn i 3bet here to say 25, he most likely has A8/AJ/A3 or J8 in this situation and your set is good i think

I don't see him folding AJ to a shove on the turn. He has an aggression factor of 0.5 which means he likes to call a lot. We could 3bet to $30 or so then shove river but I don't think it really matters, it may be slightly better to 3bet small then shove river but not by a lot. My reasoning for shoving was that he may get scared and second guess himself if a K or Q comes on the river and not stack off, but then this type of player is unlikely to fold once he makes a hand and has put that much in so that point is moot.

It doesn't really matter which way you go about it, just get the money in there.

So what do you think his reraising range is on the turn Roy? Because I couldn't think of anything besides AJ that I beat. I guess since he limped that shoud be weighted...but he never raises preflop with anything. He is maybe more likely to have JJ or 88 here than AJ?
