Not playing that much lately, finally got time to sit down for a while. My roll is ready for the $100 tables finally, so here we go. I cashed in $40 worth of points from Bodog and sat at just one six-max table to get optimum reads. All the other players seem quite fishy in all kinds of ways and keep reloading, I'm ready to make some kills.
Raise 86 otb after 1 limper, only limper calls. Flop [6s][3s] and he leads pot into me. No way in hell he does that with a flush so I raise, we're all-in, he flips the only hand he can have to beat me, 33, and I don't improve. That was actually a very nice lead by him, which irritated me, as he had not made any half-decent plays during the half-hour previous to this hand, nor in the other times I had played with him.
Raise JJ in the SB when it folds to me, the BB thinks a while then reraises, I decide to flat call and CRAI any safe flop. BB is aggro and his range is pretty wide here. Flop is 7-high and I do the CRAI, he thinks and thinks and finally calls with TT ... and rivers the T.
200 bucks, no big deal when you're playing regularly, but looking back it took like 6 weeks of playing every week or so at the $50 tables to make that. Bleah!
