You guys tell me cuz honestly I don't know what to expect out of this game.... Is this normal? Obviously when it comes to performance this it pretty poor. I'm basically at the point of not knowing if I'm just not getting this game, if I'm running horrible, if this is standard, etc.... I'll be honest it really dosen't seem like I'm accomplishing much. I've spent about 4 months playing this game and while I realize it's not a lot of time or a lot of hands I'm starting to wonder if this is really worth playing. The players seem horrible at the levels I'm at... However I apparently can't seem to beat them, so maybe I'm wrong on my analysis of the players and I'm actually worse than they are.

The only thing I can see at a quick glance which is all I can manage this early is that your pre-flop stats (VPIP/PFR) are the type that you'd expect from a decently tight full ring player rather than someone who plays SH (It might be a good style in SH though, I just don't see many players this tight). Also your W$SD is too low (Crying calls? Constant outdraws when you get it in good?)

If you don't want to give it up just yet I'd seriously recommend you try FR instead which is a lot easier on the psyche and it's also where the money's at (at least for me. I do insanely bad at SH but book constant wins at FR). You already have preflop down it seems and postflop is way more straightforward.

Or it could just be variance which of course is mcuh worse at SH

My bad then.

It just looked like your flop aggression factor was so low that you weren't betting or raising a lot, especially given how tight you play PF.

A quick question for you then. In your position stats, are the numbers for VPIP fairly similar, like 25% across the board, or do the start out tighter in EP and loosen up in LP?

A player with a vpip of 60% at a shorthanded table is playing better than a player with 50% at a full ring table.

You're losing money because you're playing badly is my guess. I would think that you pay off too much, and don't get enough value when ahead. You would probably do better to chose either raise or fold a bit more often than call.

On your level a raise on the river means the nuts more often than not. In fact, a raise anywhere is usually the nuts unless it's a maniac doing the raising. If you respect that and play straight forward, you will win,

I'd suggest playing FR until you're a decent winner, then consider SH. SH takes more reading skills and more aggression and adaptability, FR is a more technical and mechanical game which allows you to first learn the technical fundamentals that you can later combine with what is needed for SH.

Here are the detailed stats... I just scrolled down passed the upper portion. I usually check fold more that half the flops I see. So I don't really know if that's bad or standard?
