I also have a standard deviation of just over 40bb/100hands.
I am quite happy with this set of stats, although maybe I am a little inconsistent. Also I feel I have played better over the 2nd lot of 5k hands than the first even though the money may not say so. Over the 2nd lot of 5k hands my win rate has only been 5.07bb/100 hands yet my VP is 18.87%, my PFR 8.75% and aggression factor 1.29, compared with the first 5k of where VP was 21.36%, PFR 7.97% and AF only 0.94, yet my win rate was 13.35bb/100. I would say the 1st set of stats is more desirable.
I have also realised the importance of the button. 1st 5k I was $14 up on the button but due to my new aggression (shown above with the AF) this has been boosted to $152 over the last 5k. However, saying that it is a small sample and I may well have simply been dealt better hands.
Now onto specific hands. QQ is my biggest winner, netting $172 @ 8.62bb/hand followed by AA netting $152 @ 6.35. KK could do a bit better at only 2.21bb/hand but I have been unfortunate to run in AA on a couple of occaisions. Big losers are QTo, KQo, A9o, T9s, KJs and TT and AQo. A big problem is that I have often been busted by straights or flushes when holding two pair with the above hands, so I need to look out for that in future.
Also what do you think of my showdown statistic? At less than 20% maybe I am folding too much? I also fold 70% of the time to a river bet. Also I am interested to see what you think of my aggression factor. AF on the flop is higher than on the turn. This is because when there is only one other player involved I usually just bet at it to try and take it down because I figure they have probably missed. If they call I usually check the next card if it does not help me. Do you think I should perhaps continue aggression?
