I always look to err on the side of being too "ethical."
I've paid a toll even though the light was green. I've told dealers they've overpaid me at craps and watched them take back the $. I've even found $300 at the ATM window and returned it to the bank teller.
That being said, I'd almost never tell a guy showing me his cards. I think its a tell (a pretty reliable one!) and I don't usually talk to people about their other tells.
If you are going to tell this guy you can see his cards because you think it's ethical, then don't you have to tell people about other tells you see? I've developed reads before that are as good as seeing their cards, but I still didn't talk about them.
