This hand was played live $3/$6 with a kill, this game is beyond loose passive, I might have been the only player at the table that raised preflop all night, I saw a guy limp from the button with AA23, i guess if you font raise that preflop I'm not sure what you raise with. Anyways

I'm BB with 23410 suited to the 10. I check and flop the flush with a king on board and only 1 low card a 6 i believe. It checks around, turn is an 8, I now have a weak low draw and a low flush but I think if someone had made the flush they would have bet the flop. Very easy players to read in this game bet= good hand, check = weak hand. So I bet the turn, I get called by one player, he is pretty weak tight, but doesnt play as many hands as the other calling stations. River pairs the board k's. I check he bets, I call. He truns over K8 with no low draw. My question is do you guys bet the turn?? Call the river?? The pot was around $15 before I bet the turn. I know my opponant made a bad call with 2 pair, by not getting anywhere near odds to draw at his 4 outs. After the river, I was pretty sure I was beat, passive player betting.

Not a hand of huge importance but this game is really juicy and I have been thinking about playing this game a lot more so I am trying to become a better O8 player.

I think the turn bet is OK, thanks to your low draw, you're pretty sure to have some level of equity in the pot and there's only 3 higher flushes possible, and by the sounds of the game, it seems likely someone bets a J, Q or A flush on that board? Without the low draw I think I play much more cagily. On the river, if you're sure the guy is THAT passive it's hard to see how you can win. However, if he's half-way normal he has to know that river looks scary to many of your possible holdings and is taking a stab at it, so it's not so bad to make him show down, getting 5-1 or so on it.

Turn: Bet because of the low draw. With the low draw you have a mediocre hand two ways so you should bet is to try and get HU. If you can limit the field if someone has the larger flush without A2, A3 you will still have outs. Also nobody seems all that interested in the flop so you might just take it down right here. If you didn’t have the low draw I would check and see what happened.

River: Check call. He could have made trips, been bluffing, or even have a lower flush then you. You are getting 5:1, so call and then curse when he shows his 4 outer.

Ok thanks, guys. I guess I played this one pretty much right. This O8 game is a game of suckouts, no one folds, two pair with no low on a made low board, and this guy is calling 2 bets cold. I love it, I'm going to play it tommorrow night and beat on the old men again. Plus there is nothing funnier than listening to one of these old men telling me they know what I have that why they called my bet??? Hmmm your bottom pair vs my top two pair and me having a bigger flush draw than you and you call because you know what I have, ok well done, keep chasing your gutshot.
