Alright, I need a place to put some of these hands I play without continuing to have to put them in other folks journals. I used to keep a journal on here but I was always doing the daily update thing and got tired of doing it. So this journal isn't going to be for keeping track of my BR progress although I may mention it every now and then. Mainly it's just gonna be my own little bad beat journal so that I can look back later on and say wow, I really did run as bad as I thought I did. Hopefully there will be a winning hand in here every now and then too. But I have my doubts.

Hopefully, if someone notices any glaring mistakes I'm making (especially ones they notice me making on a continuous basis) they'll help me fix the problem. We have SOOOOOOOOOO many great poker minds here that I know someone can help a brutha out every now and then.

Also, I'd like to say that I'm not one to put a lot of stock in stuff like "being Sebbed", but to be honest, I was running VERY good up until MVP started all that Sebbing crap that has caught on and continued for over a year now. So in a way, I'm startin' to think maybe he "MVP'd" me when he did it.

first hand just tough luck but second hand i would ask you why you were even getting involved with QJo early on in a tourny little less for a raise committing alot of your chips on a VERY marginal hand at this time.

After the two tourney debacles, I decided I would dink around in some NL20 games at Cake to end the night. So I fired up 4 tables and played for 70 minutes. Had some good outcomes and bad ones. And I'll be honest, I think I played some good and a couple horrible even though the outcome may have been good.

This one ended well but I think my call of his allin was probably questionable at best.



Pretty standard AA hand. After they called the PFR, I didn't figure that flop hit either of them and if it did so much the better so I pushed and kept my fingers crossed because Aces just do NOT like me as a rule.



I really hope I made a correct fold on this. I had [7d]. I hate to fold with a good chunk of my stack already invested. He said afterwards that he didn't need the 8, so I don't know what to think of my fold now.



I had 99 here. Was the pot sized raise on the flop the wrong thing to do considering he bet into me? Considering the pot size compared to stack sizes, should I have bet less?



God I am such a big puss. That is all. (well you need to know that I had [7c] to understand why I'm a puss) Goddammit that woulda been a nice pot! I suck sooooooo bad.



Villain 1 had [3c]. The other had KK. That CR of mine seemed like a good idea at the time. But dang I have to admit when both of them called it, I mighta squirted a little shit in my shorts. When the turn hit, I had to look in the mirror to make sure I hadn't transformed into Twelver.

Thanks Adam, that does help a lot better than your first post. I guess Ive already been told that same stuff a bunch of times already but it takes awhile to really sink in enough for me to remember it at all times. I don't have the natural ability of you and most of the younger folks around here nor is my memory as good. Hopefully I'll make that mistake a lot less often from now on.

Your post seemed to be answering #3, you got any answers for 1,2, and 4?

On another note, I'm thinkin I may try that Matcha Tea I read about in AG. Probably drink a cup right before I play each night. Hopefully it'll help keep my concentration up as well as help me forget (calm down from?) about all the crap I went through at work that day. The thing that sux is, I HATE tea. I'm wondering if I can use Koolaid (I make it with Splenda so as to not have all the sugar calories, heh, grew up on the stuff and I still love it ) or gatorade or some other flavored liquid medium (Tequila FTW?) to mix it with instead of water so as to help hide the tea flavor.

This is the hand I got knocked out of the BTP Bragging Rights tourney tonight. I did a LOT better at Stud 8b than I thought I would. Especially since I only knew just some of the basics of play before we started.

I will say that Xaston is the LUCKIEST bastard alive! And I aint talkin about the $43k he won in the Sunday Million either as we all know that was a buncha luck. I'm talking about how he got allin against either me or twelver about a GAZILLION FARGIN times and always managed to suckout a chop on 7th street. He finally succumbed to twelver though once his luck fairy got tired of savin his ass! GG to both of you. I'll take a 3rd place against the likes of the folks I was playin against and be happy enough not to jump off the 13th floor of the IP the next time I'm in Vegas I guess.

And since I'm already in my journal here and I dont feel like posting anymore tonight, I'd like to congratulate twelver on his 1st place finish winning $10,000+ in the $55 MTT at Stars tonight to go along with his 12th place $400 cash in the Full Tilt tourney AND the BTP tourney win! What a night dude, well done.
