Pretty sure I misplayed this hand, though I'm not sure, 5 player-pot, bluffing basically with nothing, is it worth the cbet or am I almost guaranteed to be called by at least 1 and be behind, hence the check and the fold?

The second hand I am almost completely sure I misplayed, but well, I don't really know how to play it. Like Roy says, I'm either way ahead or way behind, so is checking and calling optimal? Or should I re-raise this pot at all anywhere during the betting to draw out any draws? Don't worry about the results, just concerned more about the optimal play here.

Hand 1: You played fine, trying to CB through 5 players on a coordinated board is not going to do well in the long run. You missed the flop no need to lose any more money here.

Hand 2: This is reallly bad to check / call all 3 streets Roy is right that you are either way ahead or way behind but the odds of trips over trips isnt that high. I really like betting trips on a board like this it really looks like you are betting a Queen. Check calling is awful because you never get max value out of your hand when you are "way ahead", you risk getting drawn out and you often lose more money when you are behind bet the flop, he calls, bet the turn and he raises a blank and you are beat most of the time you can fold, by check calling you are just going to keep calling bets pretty much blind to what he has.
