UTG1 was always an uncreative super tight/bad grinder but he's blossoming recently, he's opened up his game a lot and playing well, winning more and is now one of the tougher players in the game. We both have $600 at start of hand. He probably views me as TAG that makes a fair amount of moves.

He opens to $14 2nd in, I call on button with 5[h] 4[h] on button as BB is big big mark, unfortunately blinds fold and we see flop HU.

9[c] 4[d] 5[d] ($34). He leads for $30, I make it $95, he makes it $300.

Standard shove? I'm not used to playing against good players and want to make sure I'm not making mistakes against em.

getting tough, but that's the flop you wanted right? If not why did you play them?

You have to shove here IMO. River will bring some tears once in a while to bottom 2pr, but so be it.

I'd put him on an overpair, [7d], [9d] or 99 as the most likely holdings. I think this is an easy shove.
