This thread could be retiltled "I Suck at 6-max". Just started experimenting 6-max about a week ago and been running into a lot of these type hands.

History: Villain had been 3-betting my PFR's very often. A few hands before, I raised [Qh], he came over the top OTB, I called then bet pot on a 66T flop. He pushed, I folded.

I raise to $0.85 (I use the bet pot button), OTB calls, SB calls
[Ks][7d] Pot $2.80
SB checks, I bet $2, OTB calls.
$6.80
I had him for a possible big King and this card may have just fucked me. So I check figuring that he'll bet Kings I beat anyway. He bets $4.25. I think about c/r'ing, but just call.

I check, he bets $25. Now what?



Hand 2: Different table at the same time, same phenomenon with SB 3-betting me frequently.

SB $53.10
I raise to $0.85, SB re-raises to $2.50, BB folds, I call
[Tc][6h] Pot $5.45
SB checks, I bet $5, SB calls
Pot $15.45
SB checks, I was going to take the free card, but with extra outs, why not bet. I bet $10, SB is all-in for $15.50 more.

Obviously, getting over 3-1, I have to call. Question is, does anyone else play this hand differently or do I just suck at 6-max and should stick to FR?

This is pretty bad. I would shove or fold preflop, leaning towards a shove.

Hand 1 - Definitely don't fold. I would bet the turn and look to get it in.

Hand 2 - This looks fine, he could easily have JJ-KK and will fold.

Hand 1. WHAT? PUSH. Shit happns and he will have KK-QQ-KQ and even K8 or 88 but i am pushing. If you are not getting it in when u hit a hand like this i dont think there's much of a point calling raises with those pairs.

Wow the turn play in hand 1 is incredible. Bet the turn. You could retitle this post "I suck at poker" if your goal after the turn card in hand 1 is to get to showdown as cheaply as possible (which is what it seems to be by your play thus far).
