Generally when analyzing a hand there are two steps:

1) Determine your opponent's hand range.
2) Determine the best play given your hand (and hand range if your worried about working towards being unexploitable) and your opponents hand range.

A lot of times that I read hands people post I can't figure out which of these two people are looking for help on (or perhaps both in some cases?).

You're forgetting about

c) is my line consistent with what am I representing

Many times either me or my opponent would make a bluff vs what is transparently one pair on one of the later streets when a scare card hits, but stronger bluffs make bluffs where its hard to see them bluffing vs a clearly defined range of hands that are ~95% bluffcatcher types
