This is but one example. I just can't take it any more. I suppose I could handle it for a stack, but getting sucked out on for more than a double stack over and over and over again sucks ass.

I'm done, done, done.

One more tournament. Xaston, I'll see you in 2 weeks if it's a $200. If the poker gods smile on me at all, it'll be you getting the last of my chips in that tournament.

Losing when the other guy has 8 outs twice is totally standard.

Standard is losing that one time in four. The three times I win it's against the short stacks so I win $2 three times and lose $26 once. Yay me.

I'm up lifetime on Poker. Heck, way back when I started I used the $10 free that Royal Vegas gave everyone just for signing up (remember the good old days?) and ran it up to be a nice vacation for the family and a spiffy monitor for me.

But lately I'm up and down. In the last 3 months I've quintupled my BR and then lost half of it again. Now I'm back on the upswing, even with beats like this.

But it still pisses me off. In this Frist-induced poker "boom", I'm good enough to be a marginal winner at the micro stakes online, apparently. Micro stakes for me is play money. I don't think I'll ever be good enough to make what I'd consider worthwhile money at online poker, so it's a hobby, right?

Well, it's a hobby that pisses me off and that's bad for me. It gives me a bad attitude away from the table. My friends, family, and pets don't deserve that.

So I'll spend my last bit of Monopoly money to do something stupid and fun. All my chips will go in when I'm pretty sure I have the best of it and whatever happens, happens. Once in a while I'll be behind. Once in a while I'll be ahead and my hand will actually hold. But I'm certain that, most of the time, I'll be ahead and lose anyway. I just hope that the first few times that it happens in that tournament, I have the chips to survive it.

OK. If it's not worth it, it's not worth it.

Play someone h/u who will be happy to hold the "winnings" for a few weeks, then "loan" you the money should you get beat. Then you can blow off the last hundo or whatever and be able to come back in 3 weeks should you choose.
