He opens with standard $2 raise from EP
I call on button with 77 (maybe I should be raising here)
Both blinds fold
Flop is 984 ($4.75)
Villian bets 4 bucks
I call
Turn is 6 (~$12.75)
Villain bets 10
I raise to $27
Villian pushes
I call his all in with my last $25
River is a K

No believable flush draws out there...

How is my play on this hand?
Should I cut my losses at $6 and move on or is this a hand worth getting involved with...

To raise the turn you really need a read that villain will double barrel often. Even then, you might want to just call anyway. Without that read I would just fold. You probably don't have good implied odds to chase here since all of your outs make a straight possible with one card.

Bottom line: You floated the flop hoping to take it away on the turn if he showed weakness. He showed strength, so fold.

Ok, well if you like the flop call with 77, I assume you like the flop call with any two then right? Because he's basically just calling the flop to take it away on the turn then, so what he has doesn't really matter. If not I'm way off here and I'd really like to hear why I'm wrong.

*EDIT:* I can only see the 77 being shown down if he has TJ or 65, and if he doesn't double barrel and bricks.

Also, I feel the flop hits a lot of hands and gives him a good amount of draws.

As for the turn I can go either way, but if you're gonna raise it I like a bigger raise.
