Ok guys I'm really interested to hear what you have to say about this one:

This is my first shot at 400 NL and my first orbit at the table.

Finansen99 is a decent regular but can be spewey at times, I have him on 17/14/3 (300 datamined hands)

I'm trying to squeeze in more value on the river because I find that I'm checking behind with the best hand too often, what is your line here ?
(This is the 1st time he plays with me so he has no stats on me.)

Effective stacks $400

Hero is dealt [Qd] on button.

Finansen limps in MP, I raise to $20, finansen is only caller.

Flop: , pot $42

Finansen checks, I bet $42, he snapcalls.

Turn: pot $126

Finansen checks, I make it $82 and he snapcalls again.

River , $290

He checks to me, we have $250 behind, what do you put him on and what is your line:

1. Check behind
2. Bet $XX and call shove
3. Shove

it's pretty impossible for him to have a set/straight/top 2 with this action.

most likely hands: KT/QT/JT, tricky AA, maybe KJ (strange that he didn't raise it anywhere but i can kinda see his logic).

i would shove it in. he's rarely calling but you're almost never behind. and there's a pretty decent chance he folds KJ to a river shove, or ends up feeling compelled to call w/ his AA because he played it so weird.

alternately bet like $31 and snap-call a shove. hmm...i might enjoy this even more than shoving given your "spewy" read.

p.s. if i was hero villain would show up w/ 33.

I'd say that most of his range are draws with which he is not calling anything. Other possibilities are slowplayed monsters: T9; KJ, KQ. He could have weirdly played AA, AK, but it canceled by weirdly played KK-JJ IMO.
Taking everything into account the most likely hands are draws (JT) and KJ.

I like what Zmej has to say, but I think KT is somewhat likely?

No matter what he has its been played very strange.

I shove and doubt hes gonna call. I think he has something like JT.

Its hard to believe he checked all 3 streets to hero if he has him beat.

I dont think he limp / called a raise with AT. He didnt limp at all with KK, QQ or JJ. hes probably raising KQ and if not, i think hes raising somewhere or leading the flop.

He should either have KJ (also doubtful) or have a pair and draw type hand that isnt calling a river push. I doubt hes a calling any bet with a pair +draw hand.

Results:
I shoved, villain had KQo. I don't think he was slowplaying it as a monster but actually was afraid of me having a JJ-KK. He maximized value this time but he will miss out the times I check river behind with AK, AA.
