Got off my first 1000 hands with PT now, makes for interesting reading. First off some stats:

Now logged 20000 hands in total from basically leaving PT and UltimateHistory running constantly for the last 5 days and got info on 2400 players but only meaningful info on about 400 of those players (100+ hands).

My hands played 1074 all at UB $25 NLHE
VP$IP 12.48% (17.88% w blinds)
PFR 2.5%
W$WSF 30.21%
WtSD 16.67%
W$SD 62.5%
BB/100 4.25 (this will increase, made a couple of stupid plays should be around 15)

PFA Flop 2.25
PFA Turn 3.33
PFA River 2.20
PFA 2.57

The only worrying stat is this one: Fold to river bet 80% <----- not sure what this should really be
With excessions auto rate, i'm pegged as a TA but flips to UA once in a while.

On to tonight's play. It was really wierd on the UB $25 tables tonight, they kept breaking down so quickly they must have too many tables running at one time. This was one of the reasons that I stopped playing the 6-max $20 on prima - absolutely loads of tables but hardly any of them having the full 6. The other wierd thing was that a lot of the players were showing their hands tonight. I actually got berated for not showing my hand after I'd taken down a pot, can u believe that??!! IF YOU WANNA SEE MY HAND U GOTTA PAY.

Hand of the day is one i actually lost, ran into quads, well never fear them anyway, just gotta suck it up and play the next hand

I'm not gonna comment on your stats as they seem pretty good overall but small sample. In my recent two sessions of 690 hands, I have an aggression of 5.9 overall but I fold to a river bet 88.8% of the time (8 out of 9) but I'm making 17 PTBB/100 hands. I'm on a good run needless to say but don't try to read too much into too many stats, especially this early.

As for the hand you posted, I understand your raise on the river as you didn't think he had anything but you can't call that reraise because what are you beating? King high? Also, I think your preflop call was marginal as you didn't know how many would be in the pot and you don't want someone to raise. Just fold that unless you are in lp and have many limpers, IMO. Not trying to be hard on you or anything, just trying to help.

Nice couple of short sessions tonight, gained about $20, also did the golden riviera reload for another $20 which i'll complete over the weekend. Now got about 10% of the UB bonus done, seems pretty slow going as i've played 3 times as many hands on UB than I would do to get the same amount of bonus on golden riviera but I am liking UB much better though.

Thought I played this pretty well, value betting the turn to give myself the odds for the full house outs. Knew he'd hit his flush even w/o odds on the flop

No poker yesterday, was at a friends house playing xbox games and getting really rather drunk what.. yesss.

Not analysed this mornings session on UB yet but just felt like I was walking into hands all session with 2nd best. On one table I didn't win a single meaningful pot, just stole a couple of blinds. On the other table I won this pot to keep my session semi-respectable but still down. It was in fact the only meaningful pot I won in 2.5 table hours and goes down as HOTD.

Played a couple hours this evening as well on Golden Riviera trying to clear this weeks reload bonus which I did by 4-tabling. It took about 2 hours and felt I played pretty well but ended up being down about $15. Again just kept running into hands with AK and QQ which I had on numerous occassions and they just kept loosing me money usually due to the fish hitting their cards. I did pick up one nice pot where I slowplayed KK into a KQQ flop which got me a medium stack. Apart from that similar to this mornings play.

I also decided to cash out on Golden Riviera. The $20 weekly reloads have been good but I like UB so much better, the interface, the players, everything. I can also use PT to improve my game which I can't with GR at the moment and never did get a mail off them asking about hand histories. So the $620 I had there is now in my Neteller a/c ready for a UB reload or maybe a Party deposit.

Not played any poker for a week due to a short break in our fair capital city (London for those who don't know). And what a nice break it was too, but all too eager to get back to the tables after 9 days without even looking at any cards.

Started off by depositing $500 into UB for the reload so now have $320 in pending bonus to release which should keep me occupied for a few weeks. I played for about 2.5 hours yesterday and couldn't really do a lot wrong, gained $51 in that time and $5 bonus which really saved the month of May for me (May stats here ).

Here's a couple of hands from the session....which I'll post later cos hand converter isn't working

BB shows 1 pair sixes 6h 7h
MP3 shows 1 pair Queens Qd Kd.

Felt for sure on this hand I was beat but just goes to show peeps will go all-in with nothing.
That hand also held up my 100% record with KK since starting PT about 2500 hands ago. Also still 100% for AA (14 for $66 and 13 for $62 respectively).
I was steaming for a while after that big loss set to straight, just couldn't get away from it. That would have made me a nice profit on the session and the day and a great start to June ($100 in 2 days) but showed a modest loss of $4 on the day (as well as ****ing up my PT stats) .

June 01 BR $1289

PS Sorry for the long post, will look at the converter and figure it out tomorrow[/b]

Up an down day yesterday, got my AA cracked twice today, once i folded to a scary board with 2 others in the pot, was sure one if not both had me beat. The other I lost my stack to idiot with KQ but fortunately won the side pot against KK

Looking back on it I probably should have re-raised more PF, but why didn't BB re-raise PF with KK ???

I had an AKo hold up again which was nice when I made a flush to my K against his Qxs of same suit. I'm beginning to like AK (48% winrate at average of 1BB).
Also had KK hold up another 2 times (19 of 19 100% winrate at average of 16BB) cursed myself now.
But by this stage I was about $10 down on the sessions, although I had good hands which I played well, some I think I underplayed and got pushed off not being able to call raises on scary boards. The session ended very brightly when I got these 3 hands within 5 minutes.

The tables have really sucked the last few days, one bad beat after the other and at the moment its only the bonuses keeping me afloat. As far as my game goes I'm pretty happy with it, there are areas I can improve, but being in the red really sucks. Heres a few hands to prove my point

The one hand I feared most and he had to have it. Shouldn't have gone all-in like that on the turn tho

OK so you're all going to say don't limp with QQ, I was just trying something different and caught a favorable flop. Doubt it would have made any difference.

This all makes me think that i'm overplaying my QQ and JJ, they are my worst hands according to PT by a distance. Would I have any reason to be more careful in the posted hands? Comments welcome

This weekend has seen an improvement in my play. I've tried to tone my aggression down a bit using checks a lot more, had a good look at my opponents in PT and varied my play accordingly. I'm thinking more about what they have rather than what I have and as a result taken some stacks and made some nice gains and although I'm still very slightly down on the month (thanks to bonuses but about $70 down on my play inc $33 tourney) I'm feeling more confident about my play. My W$WSF and W$SD have improved to back this up.

Still didn't stop me making a severe bonehead play today though:
sLAG opens with 3.5BB bet in UTG+1, I'm in UTG+2 with KK and reraise to 12BB, everyone folds and sLAG calls. Flop comes AAx and I lead out, sLAG minraises and have a feeling I'm drawing dead but push anyway (both 100BB stacks or thereabouts). I get called and lose my stack to AQ. Nuff said

Yeah... that's about as crappy a flop as you can get w/ pocket kings... Always tough to lay em down, but you know you did the wrong thing... I hate when I get that "what the fuck am I doing" feeling, as I watch my finger slowly creep over to the CALL button...

Not played that much so far this week due to being tired from work, staying up too late watching crud on tv and wandering aimlessley round the net looking at....well, anything really. Watched Sin City at the flicks tonight which I though was extremely good and well made, well worth a visit, may even watch it again. So as a result no poker tonight either. Only session since my last entry was a 2 hr one on Monday eve.

I've also started using musicman80's GT mod for UB which allows pre-fetching of hands. I've been able to get the previous (up to) 400 hands of any table before I sit down at it and play with this mod and it takes no more than 3-4 minutes to obtain that many hands. Details of this can be found in the PT section of the forum.
