Well I was tired tonight and wasn't really up to playing ring games so I decide to fire up some tournaments... 2 180 man SNG's on Stars ($4.40 and $11) and the usuall 1500 guranteed on Cake.

Went out of the $4.40 in 70-something place...all in PF with AK against 55 I flop my A and he flops his 5.

Cake tourney AQ vs TT I'm out

And this little gem put a world of hurt on me in the $11... I was a little bit better than an avg chipstack at this point.. Villian in the hand was like 5th or 6th in chips and managed to blow almost his wile stack in back to back hands before this...Don't know why but he decided to go crazy with junk and lost both times. And yet again another demonstration of how I run especially with this particular hand.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t300 (9 handed) from (Format: Bet The Pot)

Hero (t7752)
MP1 (t13022)
MP2 (t10141)
MP3 (t10609)
CO (t4502)
Button (t3438)
SB (t10014)
BB (t3881)
UTG (t5490)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with [Kh], [Kd].
Hero raises to t1000, 4 folds, Button raises to t3413, 2 folds, Hero calls t2413.

Flop: (t6976) [3c], [5d], [9d] (3 players)

Turn: (t6976) [4c] (3 players)

River: (t6976) [6h] (3 players)

Final Pot: t6976

Results
SB doesn't show.
Hero has Kh Kd (one pair, kings).
Button has 7s Ks (straight, seven high).
Outcome: Button wins t6976.

Actually Stars apparently had a problem and all their tourneys were cancelled that were running (which that hand happeend to come from)... I was almost busted out of that tournament henit happend. As a matter of fact I open shoved A5 and everyting locked up.... Long story short buy-ins refunded and prize divided up off something they have in their rules... So I actually made money in that tourney LOL

First session since Thursday, with the holiday weekend I was out at parties, seeing frineds, family, drinking, etc.

So all in all it was a good night, some interesting hands, both came from early in the sessoin.... WTF was this person thinking? Can't determine if they were a genius or an idiot .. Or maybe I was the idiot with the turn bet, who knows, either way going broke on the river is pretty standard I think. http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... wM3Exsw%3d

This guy was awesome too, I actually played a hand kinda shitty against him again later when I had AK and the flop came out A high (pot & call obv), then paired 2's on the turn.. I shoved and then he thinks forever and finally folds and shows A8 AGAIN! http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... wM3Exsw%3d

All in all I was fairly happy only a little unsure about a set I folded on the turn, I posted it up in hte NL section so I'll see what I get as far as responses about the hand. Long story short I flopped top set with KK on a draw heavy board with 2 players in the hand. The turn completed a straight and flush and I had a buy open shove for basically 2x the pot size against me.

Also i've been DL a alot of NL vids (I have to start watching more of them too), I think it's helped quite a bit and am still scouring the net to find as many as possible.

In non-poker related news I've decided to atart shotting more and doing some excercise. I need to get into a little better shape for fall. I also got my hunting rig for bow season and need to start getting used to shotting that again. I't a bit more radical from my target set up, which I basically neglected target season this summer anyway. Fist time since I've been shooting competetively that that's ever happened. But it just wan't in the time schedule this year. Probably not that bad though because the guy who's my partner for team money shoots had a crazy schedule too and he barely shot as well.... Who knows maybe a break was a good thing as well, the desiire really wasn't there as much as it's always been either.

Another decent night, kind of followed my usual trend, withing the first half hour I was down 1.5 buy-ins. By the end of the night I finished up 1 buy-in. I almost timed out of a hand I kings full on the river with a guy betting into me the whole way. I wanted to raise the pot on the river, but apparently that button disappears at some point in a hand (or maybe when someone bets into you .... I dunno but I got wrapped up a bit in another hand, plus I was purposely letting time go by a bit on the kings full.... Next thing I know I hear the damn thing beeeping at me repeadly and rather than time out I hit "raise" which was only a min raise and then just clicked the slider to bump it up a few more BB's... He called he had TT on an 8JQK8 board.

Had a good night tonight, I didn't play too long on my ring games cuz I was kinda sleepy and wasn't staying too focused to multi table. So I closed them down after about 220 hands and finished up almost 2 buy-ins.

I also decided to hop in the 1500 guaranteed tourney too, wound up finsishing 4th in that for a $131.20 (minus my $5.50 entry) so it was a goot session. With the exception of the hand that knocked me out.... I seem to have this knack in tournaments to get in with hands that dominate my opponents yet I still manage to lose. Here's how this baby played out http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... wM3Exsw%3d . Soon as I saw the flop I was hoping for a brick on the river. Unfortunately I don't run that good.

Buy In's to Go - 6 (well just a little more that that  )

Well last night was my first session (athough it was a short one) at the $20 tables. Wound up 1.5 stacks in a relatively short period of time, I don't know if it was just a good table or if the players seems to really want to get thier money in more often than at $10. One nice hand I had I picked up [3s] [4s] OTB and had IIRC 1 limper, i limp SB completes and button checks. Flop cam 5, J, 6 with 2 spades, giving me and OESD and a baby FD. SB checks BB pots it for .80 limper folds, I call and SB folds. Turn is an offsuit 7 giving me the bottom end of the straight. BB pots again and I call. River pairs 5's He pots again for $8and change I call and he had 67o. I wound up beating up on him again a little later when I flopped TPTK with AT against him in a raised pot. He called PSB's on the flop and turn and then folded to a river bet. There was a heart draw which I assumed he was chasing that never hit and he folded on the river.

Also won an AIPF hand with AA against 2 other opponents. Had one hand I missed a very easy value bet on the river against a guy in a blinf vs blind hand. I had [Kc] [9c] in BB flop came 9 high (I think it was 9, 6, 4 rainbow), SB leads I pot him he calls. Turn is a meaningless club he leads again, and again I raise him, fiver is a [Jc] giving me a BDFD he checked, I checked because I was also in a tourey and wasn't paying attention and for whatever reason didn't like the overcard. He shows J7o and was betting basically a gutshot draw (if it was even that, I forgot the turn card), so he might have paid me off when he hit his pair of J's on the river.

But I was kinda tired and not focusing as much as I would've liked to so I closed my ring tables contnet with my 1.5 buy in win, then focused on my tourney table till I busted out of that.

Well tonight had the makings of a great session.

Best hand of the night:
Villian here is basically a station from what I've seen. At one point he had almost a double stack just by getting lucky. After the flop about the only thing seemed to make sense for his flop call was maybe a spade draw?

Seat 2: jchog (2.96 in chips)
Seat 3: blahDow (11.40 in chips)
Seat 5: inc10 (22.75 in chips)
Seat 6: Stu Nodd (37.92 in chips)
Seat 8: flex69 (26.85 in chips)
Seat 10: DRUNKAZFUK (9.72 in chips)
Stu Nodd: posts small blind $0.10
flex69: posts big blind $0.20
Dealt to Stu Nodd [Ah] [Ac]
DRUNKAZFUK: calls
jchog: calls
blahDow: folds
inc10: calls
Stu Nodd: raises to $1.80
flex69: calls
DRUNKAZFUK: folds
jchog: calls
inc10: folds
*** FLOP *** [Ad] [Ts] [2s]
Stu Nodd: bets $5.55
flex69: calls
jchog: folds
*** TURN *** [9c]
Stu Nodd: is all in
flex69: is all in
Stu Nodd: returns uncalled bet $11.07
*** RIVER *** [9d]
*** SHOW DOWN ***
Stu Nodd wins $53.15 with Full House, Aces full of Nines

Dosent show but he had a pair of Jacks

Worst hand of the night:
I saw the villian here make some crazy plays a decent amount of the hands I saw him involved in. With the flop CR for some reason I put him on a draw. A lot of times I've seen people wait till the turn to CR because the pot is bigger. My first instinct was to fold, but for some reason I just didn't believe him here, I used up about half my time before making my decision.

http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... wM3Exsw%3d

And this was proablly where I felt the most lost on a hand

http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... wM3Exsw%3d

And this one is just for kicks

http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... wM3Exsw%3d

Also I gotta give props to Semillion for the advice and thoughts he hooks me up with. Cheers Sem ;-)-u

Overall I still wound up finishing up 1 buy in, not too bad. Had my KQ hand held I would've finished up a little over 3.Oh well.

Bleh, pretty shitty night. Wound up losing about 1 3/4 stacks overall. At one point I was down 3, got almost back to even and then managed to double up a full stack on a table I was on when I was up almost 3 stacks. I rasied in CO with 22 and button called flop came Q32 with 2 hearts. Turn was a 5 I potted again and he called river was a 6h. I checked he shoved and like an idiot I called getting about 3:1 he actually didn't have the flush but A4 and made his straight on the turn. Bad play on my part for payinghim off.

Then I went and played some LHE with Juskimo and Woody and managed to lose EVERY hand I played. Of course I was playing a little more aggressive then I should have and over played some hands. But all my big hands lost.. AA, KK, trp tens, you name it. All cracked, but it wasn't a big table and I was partially donking around which led to overplaying some hands and getting too aggressive in others. SO combining that with the fact that all my good hands also lost ment I burned through about 30BB's in almost no time. Although I can say after spending some time at the NL tables you can appreciate the fact that contolling the bet size can be a wonderfull thing as opposed to fixed limit betting.
