felt like i was being run over so i decided to fight back. ive just read that you can reraise a possible steal with a slight underdog of a hand because of that extra fold-equity post flop. so here goes...

check raised my gutshot draw hoping he would fold a drawing hand with an A or fold a small pair later in the hand. could this be my first mistake? not respecting his pre flop 4-bet enough?

i call. getting 11:1. hoped he raised turn on a flush draw. ok people... give it to me!

Any reads on the button? This is just going off someone I know nothing about and is more of a default line.

Usually the PF cap by him would trigger bells, if he was just raising light chances are he just calls the 3 bet. Unless he was generally an overly aggressive player more often that not an average player at this level it's AA, KK or AK. . Personally I think the best play against what you think is a steal is fire at the flop. A CR more often than not will get called and I think tie him to the pot a little more.... Not good with our hand.

The turn is where it gets ugly. He's appparently not afraid of the board pairing, so basically anything we're repping at this point he's saying "I don't care what you have". Since we're basically repping AA, KK, QQ or AK ourselves as the bare minimum we're holding it looks pretty bleak for us. We gave it a shot and it dosen't look like it's working, I'd fold to the turn raise. Even if we gave ourselves 4 clean out's we're almost 11:1 so not getting the right price, I'd dump it there.

maybe i should have check/called the flop and check fold the turn. the check/raise isnt necessarily a bad move on this flop but the pot is big and he 4-bet pre... chances are he is gonna see a showdown anyways.

i feel like i didnt maybe respect the 4-bet enough.

i dont know bout the steal fire though pok7´s? Would anyone fold against that? (maybe if i follow up on the turn)

i didnt think my check/raise could fold him on the flop either... but i was hoping on the turn.

maybe im colored by the fact that i always see donkbets as marginal hands... like TPNK or MP or PP or a draw (or even Ace high)

Looking back at this hand i dont like my play on any street (except maybe river)

pre flop:pretty loose 3-bet... i guess its okay if im possitive im dealing with a weak tight player thats 3-bets lite. In this hand i wasn´t.

flop: should have check/called hoping to turn a Q,J,T or a club. Check/raise i semi okay though...

turn: fold to raise

river: i might as well call

Playing at stars this was one of my first 2K hands at 6-max ever.
