650 hands ot about breakeven poker. Down and even, down and even, down and even. Ended about $1 ahead.

My flopped set of tens got beat by J 4 offsuit which made a straight on the river (4 outs). Typical.

I had Q3 and beat QT in a battle of the blinds. Queen on the flop and three on the turn (3 outer). Also typical, but this time I was on the winning side.

I started out down like yesterday and then back to even, then down again. Finally I got on a table where I had good reads on the other players and made a little money and ended up a couple of dollars. On the table the player to my immediate right was a calling station until the river when if he had nothing he would fold. He was really easy to play against. If he bet, he had a hand and I would just fold. Finally at the end he decide to bluff on a hand against me, but unfortunately for him I flopped a set of sevens.

For the day, I ended up winning because my second pair and top pairs hands were holding up as opposed to earlier in the day when they were getting beat either on the flop or later. I also made a flush draw on the turn in one pot with the 6D 5D. And like I mentioned before I won with the flopped set of sevens against my new favorite opponent.

For the month my average big bets per hundred hands has dropped to 5.4 from 5.6 a couple of days ago as a result of my day of break even poker.

I won another $2 today. I won with AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, and 99. Small and medium sized pots.

The first hand that I played 6 4 offsuit in the big blind, I flopped trip sixes and got a full house when a four came on the river.

Later I played 6c 4c in the small blind and flopped two pair. I got a full house on the turn and won that hand also.

It seemed that 6 4 was my lucky hand of the day.

An up and down day, mostly down, but I won a few hands at the end and ended up even. I got rivered by straight draws and flush draws all day, which is the main reason that I didn't finish up. But for not having very good luck I'm happy to break even. At the end I made a straight draw on the river to get some justice.

Another down and up day. I seem to be getting quite a few days like this. I started out down $8, then made it back to down $3, then down $7, then I got on a hot streak and ended the day up $8.

I thought that this hand was going to be the worst one of the day, when I had AK against K8 on a flop of KKQ. The turn was a 9 and of course the river was an 8 for my opponent to beat my trip kings with a full house.

But I was wrong. My actual worst hand of the day was when I flopped the nut flush to the ace and the turn gave my opponent a straight flush. UGH.

On a more positive note, I had AA hold up to win for the second straight day, but my best hand was when I had Q 8 in the big blind and turned a straight with a board of 9 A J T 7 and won a big pot. Winning with a hand like this sometimes make me think that I should play more junk hands, but I know better and will continue to play my usual controlled game.

I calculate that at the current level I am still averaging over 5 big bets per 100 hands. If I continue to do well at the current level, I am planning on moving up a level in October.
