Why oh why can't I lay down this river ?

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1461421

My thoughts: "Busted flush ! Aha he is bluffing me!", well he is bluffing almost never here and I just throw away $300 to find out, I dont mind turn bet but river call is plain awful.

Blind2blind with aggro reg, don't know if I could have let this one go, guess so:

Played the rest of the session ok, +500$ in 2 hours.

September is only 1.93PTBB over 8700 hands so far (+1350$)

Mediocre month so far

Except for one great session (above) the others have been very mediocre, yesterday I lost 2 1/2 buyins and it starts getting to me a bit, down 4 buyins since my top this month.

MP makes it $16, I RR to $54 in BB with AQs, he calls.
Flop comes:
378 with 2 of my suit, pot $110.
I bet $80 he shoves.

I think he does this with 99,TT,JJ, QQ possibly KK,AA thuogh KK most often 4 bets pf. I see AK play this way occasionally too.

I make a marginal call for $270 into the total $800 pot, he flips TT and I miss all my 15 outs. Bye $400...

I raise AJs in MP to $16, Lag behind me RR to $48, I call (mistake, I should learn to fold suited AJs there I guess).

Flop: pot $100
56T with 2 of my suit

I check, he bets $80, I CRAI he instacalls with KK and I miss my 12 outs. Bye $400.

Then I proceed to lose another 200 with some nasty laydowns.

I'm not happy with hand 2, my play is too transparent, hand 1 is meh I guess but I have to figure i have at least 12 outs there as I don't think a set pushes flop like that.

September is at a very small PTBB over 15k hands right now (at least it's positive)

September stats

After a very slow start of the month (After 20K hands on Party Poker I was breakeven at 2/4), the Ongame switch saved my month. Party has felt nitty all month and taking time of the place feels so good.

I love the Ongame players just as much as I hate their slow, counterintuitive, stupid client. It's painful but the money there is too good to keep me away. This weekend the games felt really passive and people were just limping in from all positions. You can make a decent winning by just stealing money preflop there. 3 bets are rare and from most players they do mean monster (still). I find my 3 bets to get alot of respect and often take down the hand uncontested.

October I'm going to focus completely on playing Ongame and hopefully the games stay as soft and I keep running as good this month, we'll see...

Winnings: $4100 (+ RB + Releasing bonuses, probably another 1K or so)

Partypoker 21000 hands 2/4 1 PTBB 1600$
Ongame 4000 hands 2/4 11 PTB 1800$
(out of which $400 is thanks to runne- runnering Electrolux flopped nuts ;)
Cake 2000 hands 2/4 600$

Total BR $20K

Frustrations

Yesterday I sat with a loose goose idiot 2 seats to the right of me at a 2/4 table. He is running at 54/8/0.7 and is exactly as bad as it sounds, he is chasing flushes and gutshots OOP no matter the cost.

I play him very loose preflop in position but can't hit a flop for my life and he wins a few showdowns with 2nd and 3d pair and stuff.

I finally pick up QQ OTB, he limp calls my $24 bet. Flop JT7, He CRAI my $50 bet, I call $350. He shows AJ, turn blank, river J. Standard.

He now has a $800 stack, I rebuy.

The comedy continues, I keep raising in position and he calls me down. Turn, river goes check check and he always caught a better bit of the board than me. So he wins the next 8 pots or so for around $70 each.

I rebuy again, he now has $1000. I win some other pots and build my stack to $750

Finally I get T8s in BB, He raises button (this is the first time he does that), I call.
Flop
KT8 rainbow, I check raise his CB to $140 he calls.
Pot $280
Turn
4
I bet $220 he calls.
I pray for a safe river card
River:
4
I'm steaming as i check river, he checks behind with AK and takes down our last big pot.

Next hand he sits out.

God poker can be frustrating at times.

3 Hour session in total, +$140... *sigh*

Boring grind at Ongame

1200 hands responds to 4% of my bonus ($1400) release. So approx 25 * 1200 = 30K hands should release it. (Which is exactly what I plan to put in October)

Didn't hit anything, lost most of my all ins to suckouts and running bad in general. PokerEV says I'm running $1500 worse in October than I should have. The amazing thing is that despite of all the crap yesterday I'm only ended down -$500.

I lost a shitload more money on my all ins than my EV but stil managed to take down enough money without showdown to almost make up for it. When I start winning my fair share of the all ins again I expect my winrate to boost a bit.

Anyway, 1200 hands yesterday, -$550, nothing much to do about it and I actually feel good about my game that session. I played solid and took down a lot of pots uncontested.

October doesn't do it for me so far.

5K hands of 2/4 at Ongame for -$190 (Funny enough I got 190 in RB for September) which puts me at pretty much +-0 for the month so far.

Running $1000 worse than I should EV wise, lost $500 with KK to AA yesterday. Feel I'm playing quite well but wiinnings aren't coming.

Played some 3/6 at Ongame yesterday, about 2-300 hands for breakeven, nothing spectacular.

Going to continue putting in 1K hands per day and see in which direction we are going.
