Well looks like for some reason I've been neglecting this journal, can't for the life of me think how that could've happened.

Well, I have some good news: I ran hot for about 20 hands, which is obviously a new record for me.

I'm within a few $ of clearing the first of my monthly bonuses (don't shout it out, but this is also known as RB, ssssshhhhhhhhh now because I'm sure if any mods are reading this (highly unlikely of course) there'll soon be another banning vote in the BTP House Of Lords (aka Centre for Behaviour Correction - wigs, leather underwear and remnants of buttered crumpets up the jacksy from schooldays gone by, all compulsory), which obviously won't apply to anyone else, naturally, COS THATS THEY WAY WE DO THINGS AROUND HERE, RIGHT?).

And there was much rejoicing.

Well the missus has indeed been out for the night, and I'm off tomorrow morning to my mum's on the Norfolk coast for the weekend to take her shopping as her broken wrist is still preventing her from driving.

He's basically predicting the top 2 places will be filled by Arsenal and Liverpool, as the Chavs and ManUre are too distracted by internal politics/poor starts/Europe to be able to mount a sustained challenge. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmaybe.

Meh. Poker's been crap. Work's been crapola too. I can't think of any other line of work where the customer's allowed to change their minds about fundamental things at the last minute, and you're expected just to fit it in on time somehow.

If a buiIder's building you a house to the design that you've approved, and just as it's nearing completion you tell him you've changed your mind about the bathroom and want it on a different floor, and oh, while you're at it I'd prefer a double garage instead of the single I first specified, but of course I can't wait any longer to move in, you might expect a pretty strong reaction and a massive increase in cost. Not in the IT world though, oh no.

Anyway, it worked out well for JJ in the tourny I was also supposed to be playing in. Unhindered by my intimidating presence and superior card skills, ho ho ho, he was able to take down 2nd place. It was a bummer to miss it.

Elsewhere, the Gooners slaughtered Derby 5-0 and are now clear at the top of the table, irrespective of tomorrow's ManUre Chavs game for which I'll meet up with a mate, and we'll sink a few beers, play a few games of pool and generally act like we're still 25. I wish.
