I haven't played with villain much before today but he runs about 24/16/2.7. He probably sees me as a good TAG that is capable of making a laydown. We have tangled a few other times at other tables.
Once I 3-bet him in a blind battle and bet/folded the flop to him. Another time I CBet the flop, he made a small raise and I folded my overs. So it seems he might be capable of moves, and knows I can fold. Another time he just check/called my flop bet with AJ when he hit his A (he was the preflop aggressor). I had AQ (in position) and checked it down from there because his c/c scared the hell out of me. He is probably a winner but I don't know that for sure.
I raise [Jd] to $15 from early MP. Villain is immediately to my left on this table and calls and some other guy calls from the CO, decent guy calls from the blinds. I have $680 and villain covers.
Flop [Tc][4d] I bet $45, he raises to $100, other 2 fold. I think for a while and decide a shove is overkill, especially since he raised so small. I also think the 3-bet will look stronger...but that is debatable. Anyway, I 3-bet to $295, planning on calling a shove. Villain just calls.
Turn . Pot is now like $655 or so. I shove my last $373 fairly quickly, but not instantly.
Thought process: I have a gutshot! Plus villain should have shoved a set on the flop. Plus villain may think the Q could have made me a set if I don't already have TT.
Thoughts?
