When I was playing fuller stacked I quite frequently pushed sets on draw heavy boards, but the only time I pushed draws (unless they were straight and flush ones) is when I had 2 overcards and the nut flush draw

Online, I think it's a good play on drawy boards just to stick with sets for a while but then shift gears if you do hit one and get called. Then at that table, I think you can probably go into SC mode for a certain stretch.

Probably at the higher stakes you still have to mix it up more than that--not because of better players necessarily but because the thinner the overall field, the better the reads.

I just had a second one after another 200 hands. I should add that I was now playing in set-mining mode rather than in SC mode after the first experience. But then this happened: I limp 87s in MP. LP (half-stack) raises and BB (full stack) calls. Flop T65 with my flush draw. BB bets, I push for full stack, and all fold.

Whatever strategy you're playing (and I think switching frequencies back and forth between draws and sets is the way to do it), I think that one is an auto-push--at least as long as there are some other hands that you push here, whether it be sets or nut flush draw.

Well, I'd have to see how he was playing to make a definite decision. But if I viewed him as reasonably solid, I'd definitely fold on that board.

I'd expect a lot of possible hands from him: Set (KK is still way behind), small made flush (KK is still way behind), straight (KK is still way behind), naked Ah (which has 12 outs already, and more if it's something like AT with naked Ah, although I'm not sure JC calls a raise with that hand).

I will say it's a very unusual play for JC's actual hand. I suppose it has to be in there somewhere, too, but I'd probably discount that and indeed assume that an additional heart was an out a lot of the time.
