I always get stuck in pots like this. If you think villain is going to shove any flop, should you just get it all in pf with AK? As played I folded the flop... I felt that I was only drawing to a chop at best?

if you know you're opponent(s) then you should be 4-betting with AK PF (miwrong?) with the intent of getting allin PF.

as played, folding that flop is fine. utg+1 has rep'ed AA (KK at worst) the whole way. i

hate cold-calling a 3-bet PF with AK. if you're going to do that, you may as well muck it PF IMHO.

I admit that I definitely overlooked how much we each had left in our stack. My tournament game has really screwed up my thoughts on how to play AK semi-deep stacked. Looking back at this, I have to agree with you guys that calling was absolutely the worst of my 3 options. Thanks for the advice, hopefully I'll play it better next time. In this case I probably should have chucked it since villain was new to the table. However, if one of the loosey goosey players made this play I would shove.
