I pretty much always just call here, but I think a lot of my friends whom I respect, raise.

If you just call here, what will you do on the river? Fold? Why calling turn then? If you raise you are probably raising AI cause other raise doesn't make much sense since you have 60ish behind and it's 40 for him to call so he will call. As I see it, you're getting it in either way, or you are folding the river if he shoves after your turn call, but I am not fond of that because he can be bluffing you like that..

I think that I strongly lean towards the call now.

It gives me max value from the host of hands that will bluff the river, and I can safely value bet the river if he just checks.

Calling>Shoving>>Folding

FWIW, he had 99, but that's entirely beside the point.

yea im calling turn and probably calling river also. Although im not really sure what we beat when a 23/18 raises UTG, calls our 3-bet OOP when we're 100bb's deep, and then leads this turn when its pretty obv we have AQ or AK. just sayin.
