I am wondering if anyone knows the best way to transition to higher limits. I just moved up to NL100, and my game is not as aggressive as it was at NL50. So I moved down to work on it, and felt more comfortable and willing to throw my stack around at NL50 than I was before I moved up just like 5 days ago.

My perception of the money changed that fast for the lower limit. Is there any way to jump-start that process for the higher limit? Go play some NL200? That can't be the right plan. Any ideas? Maybe just not be a huge vagina and risk some of my 50 buyin bankroll?

If you multi-table, drop two of your tables at your regular stakes and add one at the higher stakes. You'll have the same total amount of $ in play and have a bit more time to consider each decision.

Remember as well that players aren't suddenly twice as good just because they play for twice the money. Don't give them respect, you'll play scared. Beating NL50 shows you have the skill to win at NL100.

Alternatively, some people set aside 4 or 5 buy-ins as a 'shot' bankroll. You could try thinking of your 40BI bankroll and your 5BI NL100 roll.

Depending on the site, they may not be any better at $100 than at $50, at all. Hard to believe but absolutely true.

You should note that at 10$ NL you should have close to 8-10 ptbb while anything over 3ptbb on 1000$ NL is quite quite good..so its harder do make up losses on higher limits..Thus is hard to say that losing 70$ on 10$ NL is equal to 7000$ on 1000$NL, expecially if it affects your mental health
