Ahh... there is a new game on the ship run by one of the wait staff, going to try to sit in it this week.

I started the process of switching to the Seafarers International Union today. From what I hear they pay much better, with great benefits and four month on two month off. Which beats the hell out of crappy wages, no overtime, and five months on five weeks off.

They play a similiar structure of .50/1 NL. Seems everyone understands the rules and the game moves pretty quickly. I'm going to continue this game in my Card Player statistical journal with the ship game I ran.

My hourly rate is still over by about 18/hr over inflated compared to what I think it should be for a low stakes live game. I will probably get enough hours in over the next four weeks to average it out should it need adjusting. I will have to earn about another 1k to have paid for my vacation to Vegas though....

Lost a minor amount over 4 hours of gruelling folding. Every time I picked up something playable I had to call a bs raise and then miss!

I didn't get the chance to win or lose any big pots and it was probably for the best.

I'm pretty happy with my 66% win rate, as most times I've lost it has been less than half a buy in and the times I've won have been pretty decent. I'm pretty close, like with in $200 of having won enough to pay for vacation this rotation.

I'm not playing the cash game tonight in hopes that I wake my ass up and go surfing tomorrow and if not definitely friday. Well and if not then hopefully before I leave, if I get someone to train for my aloha week.Truth be told I can't work a full day, play cards, sleep and get off the ship. Something always has to give.

Lost 10 bucks after being down a bunch....

Not so bad was down 120 at one point. Missed the flop on a bunch of stuff and had to fold because I probably couldn't beat what they were bluffing.

I did snap off and induce some big bluffs the two times I had the opportunity. If it wasn't for the gutshot straight getting there when I held a set and sucked a boat on the river, I would have lost more.

When are you hittin Vegas again?

I will be there tomorrow (today your time?) until like the 6th... staying at the 4 Queens.... my mom will be in on the 28th for a day or so....
