Villain insta-called the 4bet and insta-shoved the flop. He was 31/31 over 50 hands. (hence the 4bet bluff). No real reads on the player except he seems aggressive.

call or fold? Does getting 2-1 pretty much commit me?

I'm almost positive you're up against JJ-KK here. I just don't see him jamming into you with a missed AK, and I don't see him calling with anything below JJ. if there was a FD out there I could justify it, but without it I just can't.

I like the play your making pre, but i think you have to give up on it when he comes back at you here.

That being said, if i've seen him do this before in these 50 hands, or seen him with wild crazy aggression, putting his stack in with all sorts of weird hands, then yes. i'm going to call. but without a better read, it's tough for me to.

I think you need a read to call this..Ive seen ppl call 4bets w 77 55 or such just because they wanna be the one to put he last bet in(will go crazy if they cant be the table bully anymore)
so if he is really soo aggro i think calling could be ok..then again i dont think i would 4bet non-regs

I called. He had AKo.

I messed around with poker stove and as long as AK or underpairs (77-99) or other hands (67s, A3s, etc) are in his range this is a call getting 2-1. Even versus a range of JJ+ and TJ+ we have 19% equity. Therefore, as long as some hands we beat are in his range you can easily get to above 33% equity.

If villain would have taken longer to call PF and then thought for a bit before shoving post-fop, I might have folded. But his quick actions generally mean he is playing emotionally rather than rationally. Therefore, he could be doing something stupid. So I called. I was very close to folding and really wasn't sure what to do. Looking back at the hand after analyzing my equity versus possible ranges, I believe a call is +EV.
